Nice work from Frank!

The promo teased the win by saying there would be "a Bonus Round moment that hardly ever happens", and it showed Pat saying all of his letters were in the puzzle. I thought it was hinting at someone filling in the puzzle completely, but me and others who saw it couldn't think of any "sweepable" puzzles that fit the blanks; "I WAS..." would have been ruled out immediately because it has two vowels besides E. woffan9821 brought up "A FEW HAWKS", but that would require a combo of FWHAK with a Wild Card.

It's hard to tell if he really knew it with RSTLNE, though. He definitely knew I WAS, but his facial expression suggested he got lucky with the P and D. I didn't know that word until those letters came up; I "briefly" thought it was BRIEF, then CRAZY, even though I know Wheel probably would never use that Phrase on the show today.

The Triple Toss-Up was more trouble than it probably should've been. I didn't get SMOOTHIE for the first one.

Also, go figure that I see a puzzle with the word DRAGON in it just after I change my picture. I didn't know that would happen.

I no-lettered Round 4, however, which I guess makes up for that.

Got the bonus puzzle with RSTLNE. That was a good playing, and a rare $50,000 win!

It was a very tight match between the guys to begin the last week of 2021. Good thing Frank called those L’s in R4 (which I no-lettered) to win by a narrow margin. Poor Lindsay just couldn’t catch a break.

I thought the men would have trouble with BOX and LUXURY, but I also struggled with the Triple Toss-Ups. I said STRAWBERRY LEMONADE for the first two (yikes) and FROZEN for #3. Ironically, I just had a smoothie this afternoon. 🤦🏾‍♂️

But I solved R2 with the first two correct letters and the BR as soon as Frank finished choosing his letters. Whether or not he knew the puzzle with RSTLNE, seeing him win $50K (and an all-cash sum) was fantastic! I honestly thought Pat would reveal the $100K envelope, but that win will have to wait…

My rating: 7

R4: Dang that was close. The fact that the PP trip was $11K+ today was even more shocking.

BR: I wonder if Frank RSTLNEd it like I did? Great to see $50K won! All we need now is the biggie.
