As we count down the hours until 2021 loses a turn (no pun intended), let’s look back at this year of Wheel. Here is what I think were the best and the worst of Wheel in 2021.
The Best:
1. Celebrity Wheel of Fortune! (What an addition this was to ABC’s primetime schedule; it’s funny, exciting, suspenseful, and amazing. Which leads me to…)
2. Melissa Joan Hart’s million dollar win (It’s been seven years…….)
3. The home giveaway in April. (A pretty ambitious plan, but definitely paid off with Laura not only winning the home, in the bonus round no less, but also becoming the biggest non-millionaire in the syndicated series)
4. The insane amount of $100K wins, at least in the S38 half
5. The return of Changing Keys in both the syndicated and primetime shows!
The Worst:
1. The downfall of Mike Richards (he had lots of potential, especially how he treated Wheel last season, but that all got thrown out the window)
2. Choosing the Right Word (I don’t think I need to explain that…)
3. Jason Mraz’s million dollar loss
What would you add here? What do you think Wheel did best and worst in 2021?

I think you pretty much have the best and worst list covered. I think you can also add Maggie Sajak's addition to the Best list, and Jeff Garlin's performance on CWOF to the Worst list.

I'd say the IN AN AWKWARD POSITION BR (10/4/21) would definitely fit in with the worst moments. Actually, everything starting form the Final Spin that episode would qualify.

In addition, I forgot to mention Scott donating ALL his $145,000 to charity.
2021 definitely had its ups and downs. Let’s wheel into 2022 strong. I’m definitely excited for the tournament, whenever that is.

I’m definitely excited for the tournament, whenever that is. If it's still happening. It was likely going to be May sweeps. Home Sweet Home was supposed to be in February this year, but it was replaced with Hawaii week. It's quite possible they moved HSH to May and are not doing the tournament since it was almost surely Mike's idea. We haven't heard a single blurb about it since the promos that aired during premiere week, and nobody outside this site even remembers it was announced at all.
