Since Grace was behind even with her current money on the table, I can accept that she considered gambling on the Mystery Wedge. She would not have been guaranteed a chance at the next round anyway, and she never did play.

I thought the second Triple Toss-Up would be COFFEE MACHINE before the blanks were revealed. I also liked the TIME MACHINE guess for the third Toss-Up.

Got the bonus puzzle with RSTLNE. I was at least hoping Laura would get the first word.

A questionable choice for Grace to go for the Mystery wedge with as much as she had at that point, though with the big early lead Joseph had she kind of did have to go for it to catch him. Isn't the actual phrase "You Can't Put the Toothpaste Back in the Tube" though?

Round 4 was interesting tonight with Laura holding the MDW and in the lead having to fend off Joseph who had the big lead early.

Project was an odd word to go with EMBARKING. Embarking should've been fairly obvious with what was on the board, but project wasn't as easy to figure out.

BR: Great to see a MDBR this early into the year. I’ll side with jjc that it’s a bit of odd phrasing here (even if I RSTLNEd it). Bit miffed she didn’t have anything remotely close.

Laura and Joe had the battle. I’m surprised Grace risked all that dough in R2, but she was behind, so I kinda understand it. Too bad it didn’t work out for her.

I should’ve paused my DVR, looked at the Crossword, and no-lettered it because I did the same with a puzzle under the same clue in 2019. BTW, Pat said the R2 phrase is a “nearly impossible” action (per my sources, it means undoing something).

Once again, my belief that TTU3 would be a curveball was wrong. TIME MACHINE was a valid guess.

I solved the BR with RSTLNE. I don’t think you use EMBARK and PROJECT in the same sentence, so I’m not surprised Laura didn’t solve that puzzle. At least she was far away from the super big one.
