| MOVIE QUOTE |
SHALL WE PLAY A GAME? It looks like KAT is ready to do so. Tonight's celebrities are: Karl-Anthony Towns (KAT) was the rookie of the year for the 2015-16 NBA season, playing well for the Minnesota Timberwolves. He's versatile. He's playing for the Vera Institute of Justice, an organization that fights for racial and intellectual justice. Anthony Anderson is the Black-ish, Mixed-ish, Grown-ish type of guy, a guy who wants To Tell the Truth. He's going into his eighth and final season of Black-ish, but there's a lot more. He's playing for the Anderson Family Foundation, which aims to help underprivileged youth. Marcia Cross is known from Desperate Housewives. She's playing for Stand Up To Cancer, which is self-explanatory. Both she and her husband have had cancer in the past, so they want to contribute for a cause that helps fight cancer, and other diseases, like HPV. $2,000 Toss-Up |

Finally a Bonus Round win in airing order, although it's easy to see why they buried it among all the double losses. Marcia's score for that half was on par with a typical BR winner on syndie Wheel, if not less.
That was an impressive solve from her after trying to pick T and then Y for the vowel, though, not to mention guessing the first word as "PAILSITE". I bet that's the last win of the season.

This was a much more enjoyable episode than last week's, it was refreshing that none of the celebs were being real over the top. Also refreshing to see no 70s or 80s categories.
Pretty impressive bonus solve from Marcia in game 1, it looked like she wasn't going to have enough help.
Martin Short Circuit definitely turned out to be a mess of a round with Marcia guessing CARDIO Short and then Karl getting Martin seemingly out of thin air then saying SHORT twice when solving. That's twice now on CWOF someone doubled up a word in Before and After, I can't recall that ever happening on the syndicated show.
WAFFLE FRIES was pretty easy, even without the Fs IMO.

Well, that was interesting.
Anthony was probably the best part about this episode, having seen a good chunk of "Black-ish" (and the two spin-offs).
The first half of the episode was just plain messy, but it was cool having a one-liner in R3. Impressive solve by Marcia in the BR. Even more impressive when she thought that wasn't right as well.
The second half didn't leave much to talk about...aside from that mistake in the Before & After puzzle.
A bit better than the previous episode, but not by much.
6/10

The three contestants were hilarious, especially Anthony. Him screaming, “Mama, I’m rich!” at the end of the second game cracked me up. 😂
Anyway, the first game was a mess (especially the first round), while the second game was pretty average, sans KAT’s perfect first round and ironic TU2 solve.
I no-lettered R1 in both games and solved both BRs with RSTLNE. While Anthony needed the F’s in the second one, good thing Marcia surprised herself in the first one to finally give us a win!
My rating (for both): 6
