As most if not all of you know, Season 38 has been dominated by its fair share of ultra-champions (contestants who win 10+ games). We first had Matt Amodio, who was the carryover champ from Season 37, and he won 38 matches with $1.5 million in cash. Then Jonathan Fisher, the guy who defeated Amodio, won 11 games of his own thereafter. We then had a couple 5-time champions in Tyler Rhode and Andrew He.
Then in mid-November is when Amy Schneider made her Jeopardy! appearance, and she now has the second-longest winning streak behind only Ken Jennings. If you have been watching Jeopardy! in recent days, she is basically outcompeting her opponents, especially in the Double Jeopardy! round where she really gets red-hot. While she plays more conservatively compared to James Holzhauer, she has been putting the game out of reach for her opponents due to her running entire categories and more importantly how quick she is on the buzzer. However, she has set a few records, especially regarding female champions. She surpassed Julia Collins and Larissa Kelly in terms of games won and money won for female contestants, respectively. And she also surpassed Emma Boettcher's one day record of $46,801 (tied by MacKenzie Jones) and even broke her own records twice. As of recently, articles have been popping up on the internet about how one contestant who appeared on Jeopardy! when the five-day limit was in effect would like that rule to be reinstated.
What do you guys think of Amy Schneider's run?

I haven't been watching, because I pretty much got burnt out on Jeopardy! after the GOAT. I tried to get back into the show with the guest hosts, at the beginning of this season, and with the Professors Tournament, but I just couldn't. I've hypothesized that James ruined Jeopardy! for me, because even when Amy and Matt are averaging an impressive ~$35-40k daily, all I can think about is that James made around twice as much a game, and there just isn't a point in watching when I can just play along with the clues in the J-Archive. The drama surrounding the rear end of Season 38 really didn't help things either; pretty much EVERY game show discussion devolved into the Jeopardy! host search for eight months, and I was just sick of all the constant news.
I know this isn't a popular take at all, if not a very simplistic one, but I just don't care enough to watch. I respect Amy and how she's won 39+ games, and she's done well, and maybe a couple years down the line I can further appreciate her run, but for now, it's too much.
Pledging for a 5-day limit is a take I highly disagree with though. That wasn't my complaint with James, Matt, Matt, or any other recent superchampion, and the ratings say that superchampions are better for the show.

It might be more exciting if the first-ever double-digit champ didn't get to 74 wins (James Holzhauer is an exception due to his absurdly high scores). But that's just my opinion.
What shouldn't be just my concern though is that the Tournament of Champions was always supposed to be about something big. With two millionaires eligible (if a tournament even happens at all), I'm sorry, but $250,000 isn't going to catch my attention. Understandably, the main show is only syndicated, so I wouldn't expect them to offer a $2,000,000 grand prize every year.
Generally, the good things I have to say are about Amy Schneider herself. I certainly have to congratulate her for making it this far, she's even having fun on social media, and I'm also happy to see she's being making more "martian" wagers in Final Jeopardy! now.

Even with two millionaires participating in the next ToC, I don't see a million dollar top prize, unless TPTB made it some special tournament featuring millionaires
