wheelfan82 spotted this on last Monday's full credit roll. Merv Griffin is now credited for music along with John Hoke, and Bleeding Fingers Music, who had been suspected to be behind the new theme music, now receives their own credit. 0:51 in this video.

The manner in which the credits are listed is ambiguous, so I wonder who is actually responsible for what. Obviously Merv wrote the melody for the main theme music so that is one we know. There is no indication that John Hoke belongs to the Bleeding Fingers Music collective, so my guess is that he is solely responsible for the theme's arrangement. Bleeding Fingers is credited with "original production music" though, if my ears aren't fooling me, the mid-show cues (coming from commercial breaks, during merchandise promos, etc.) are the same as previous seasons. That means they either weren't credited in the past or are responsible for some composition this season for which they are only now being recognized.
One observation I have noticed is that the bonus round win cue is more faithful to Merv's original composition than the actual theme music, the latter of which essentially recycles the primary melody. The BR music is actually closer to how the original modulated between keys throughout the song. Bleeding Fingers did the same for the 2021 celebrity theme. It makes me wonder if one or few of their musicians wrote some of the in-game music.

There is no indication that John Hoke belongs to the Bleeding Fingers Music collective, so my guess is that he is solely responsible for the theme's arrangement. The Express and Final Spin cues were not changed, so those should still be John's.

I was suspecting that John Hoke was initially only credited for the music until January 24 because the Express & Final Spin cues were carried over, and the cues for the Mystery round and featured prize have also remained the same since 2017. And I imagine Bleeding Fingers Music actually did compose the new "Changing Keys" theme as well as the new music cues.

Anyone else notice that the credits are inconsistent with the music acknowledgements? Sometimes Merv is credited, other times he isn't. Obviously we here know that he wrote the melody of the new theme but it's definitely weird to it switch between him credited and not for no rhyme or reason.

On Wednesday's third $100,000 consecutive win episode, there was a full credit roll and said the following: Music by Bleeding Fingers Music and John Hoke. Merv Griffin name's was not credited in the music category.

It’s because that week was taped prior to the one that listed Merv a couple weeks before. MarioGS and I have been working together on figuring out all the current season tape dates…I’m sure the schedule will be updated once he returns to the boards.

Merv was credited for the music once again during tonight’s long credits. This week is the most recent week we’ve seen taped so far. trisspinner has gone ahead and updated the Season 39 schedule with all the known tape dates so far.
