Pat says it's going to be a more melancholy close, as Vanna's cat Stella recently passed away. She was such a big member of Vanna's family, and she will be missed by everybody. They present a one-minute photo/video tribute with memories of the fun they had together.

Not much I can say about the game, though a nearly $10,000 Speed-Up is nice.

I needed her letters to solve the bonus puzzle. Odd that an event specialist missed it.

That was a nice tribute to Stella, with a few funny clips as well. She will be missed by the community.

Awe, poor Stella

That was a very touching tribute. I really hope the rest of this year is much better for Vanna after losing her cat and her father a few weeks ago.

Completely random statistic that doesn't matter: in every episode this season, in the credits, there was a disclaimer stating "Due to technical difficulties, a portion of the game was edited." I believe this was the first episode this season where "A portion of the game was edited", but not due to technical difficulties.

The tribute to Stella was really heartwarming. I hope Vanna's doing well.

This episode wasn’t much to write home about, except that Melanie overcame her early bad luck.

I no-lettered R2, but I thought TU1 would be HANGMAN and TTU2, ALUMINUM. But I solved the BR with RSTLNE, and maybe Melanie needed another letter on top to solve that puzzle.

RIP, Stella. That was a sweet tribute for her at the end.

The September 9, 2023 rerun of this episode had a different closing segment and a full credit roll.

First, there was a segment on 1/22/2021 contestant Charles and his Collette Prize Puzzle trip to Croatia. This wasn't exactly a "Winners Circle" or "Wheel Winners" segment, but more of a plug for Collette.

This was followed by the following:

P: Always nice to see a happy winner like that.

V: Yes, it is. Hey, we had a puzzle earlier -- "PLAYING PINBALL." You have a pinball machine.

P: Well, I do. Actually, I have multiple pinball machines. We have no furniture, but we have several pinball machines.

V: (laughs)

P: No, I just -- I have a "Wheel of Fortune" pinball machine.

V: (puts hands on her hips) You do?

P: And it's -- my voice is on it. I have two "Wheel of Fortune" pinball machines.

V: Two?!

P: Yeah. Do you have any?

V: Well, no!

P: Well, that's the way it goes. (laughs)

V: I think I need one.

P: Why didn't you get one?

V: I don't know.

P: Oh, all right.

V: I must not know somebody.

P: All right. She's getting testy, isn't she? Anyway, have a good night, and we'll see you next time. So long.

V: Bye!

P: (mimes playing a pinball machine by pulling the plunger and pressing flipper buttons)
