It was not obvious to me at all. Pat's behavior was pretty much what I expected.

I was annoyed that we managed to lose the Wheel Prize to a repeat again, and the Mystery Prize was eventually lost to BANKRUPT. Well...impossible words happens.

I had nothing in the Bonus Round until after his choices were revealed, and I got it before he blurted out the answer.

I especially took note of when Erik asked to solve the Speed-Up, instead of prompting the contestant to call a consonant, like Pat usually does in both the SU and Express, Pat's tone was more of exasperation, and it felt like something along the lines of "screw it, just let's finish this episode as quick as possible". Mechamind even recorded that Pat quip about forgetting about money.

(I'm also taking this as an indirect way of saying you vowed to do better on your episode, so retroactive best of luck!)

I thought it was a little odd Pat didn't try to have Erik call a letter before solving, but it didn't impact the outcome of the game and there was just the one consonant left. What was even odder was the first letter call was a vowel.

I had the bonus puzzle with the RSTLNE, clearly G and M were great choices for him.

It actually kinda' felt like none of the contestants were exactly amazing players, and Erik mostly won because someone had to win. I was fully expecting a bonus round loss, but I guess Erik called the right consonants. The whole episode felt really off.

R1: Usual bad puzzle writing here. Not surprised at the ugliness.

R2: I believe no one in this panel has heard of Sesame Street. This comes all the more baffling as I no-lettered it!

R4: Congrats, Erik! You just blew another $1,650!

Also, the Final Spin either seems to be edited or the puzzle itself is a replacement. Look how Kelly was a few wedges east of the $5K at the start of the spin.

And yeah, Pat was probably burnt out at this point.

BR: Should’ve been a Phrase, but good job anyway.

I usually don’t give anything below average for episodes with a BR win. But this one gets a 4/10.

The unclaimed Belize trip was to Ramon's Village ($7K).

This was a messy start to the week, but it ended nicely. Erik’s win goes to show that it doesn’t matter how you start, but how you finish. (But I’m shocked at Pat’s feelings towards Erik. 😳)

Believe it or not, I no-lettered R2, R3 and R4. But I screwed up the first two Triple Toss-Ups with ROLLING UP MY SLEEVES and PUMPING IRON, respectively.

I solved the BR with Erik’s picks, and he couldn’t wait to solve the puzzle (just like Jinger), couldn’t he? I’m glad he won some more dough. And the ladies were real sports.

My rating: 6
