Unexpected Turn of Events and Shocking Win being used in the same show was certainly odd.

D was definitely a great call for the bonus round, along with G although I thought GOING from the beginning for the first word. A very nice win in the last couple of seconds to start the final week of the season!

We can't seem to get those high scoring main games right now, can we?

I wasn't able to get RESTAURANTS for the Trip Puzzle, and I was stuck on something related to beaches.

I only just got the bonus puzzle before Nick did, maybe sooner with the A. Of course, someone on Jeopardy! had to get defeated on the same day this aired, but that champ already had a lot of money, so he could probably take a joke.

The PP mattered for Nick to win. Otherwise, the first episode of our final week of season 39 was… meh.

I no-lettered the last two Triple Toss-Ups and solved the first two Toss-Ups with just as few letters. I also solved the BR with Nick’s picks. He scared me with his first guess (which was mine), but I’m glad he solved it in time.

My rating: 6

By the way, I recognized Michele from Family Feud; she was on the other game show about a decade ago.

Main game left much to be desired thanks to Pat pointing out that those rounds weren’t really “high-paying”. Nick played well tonight, though.
