Hey y’all! New to the forum. My name is Alyssa and I’m a senior at the University of Arkansas @ Little Rock and I’m really hoping to represent my university on College Week next year. Go Trojans!
I applied online in January and after 4 months, I thought my story ended there. Much to my shock I got an email a few weeks ago inviting me to a virtual audition via Zoom. I was ecstatic! I had my virtual audition last week and I felt like it went very well. We did 6 toss up puzzles, mock “Pat Chat” interviews, and 16 timed word puzzles. I got 5/6 of the toss ups, made my interview short and sweet, and was confident I got around 14 of the 16 puzzles right. They were TOUGH! I did a lot of reading on forums like these before my audition and I remembered to smile, clap, etc. I honestly don’t know what else I could have done but I’m so nervous!!
The CC said we could expect to hear back in the next few months if we’re selected. I’ve heard of some people getting letters two weeks later and others getting a spur-of-the-moment phone call months later with a filming date. I honestly don’t know what to expect :/
I’m also interested in how my application affects the rest of the show. Am I only qualified to audition for college week since I listed myself as a “college student” rather than an “adult”? Just don’t really know what to expect these next few weeks. Super excited but super nervous!😅
