For probably the last two eps of the season (that I have to do), the recaps will be delayed by possibly up to 24 hours after the East Coast airings (and most likely I'll type it up the morning after it airs). Maybe it's the end-of-season burnout, but I'm also extremely busy at the moment.

BATTLE CREEK MICHIGAN seemed like an unusually obscure puzzle. Googling the city, apparently Kellogg's is headquartered there, which is something I guess, but I couldn't really find any reason people other than locals would be familiar with a small city like that. Not surprised none of the contestants rang in until almost the whole puzzle was revealed.

Mariam guessed the last word wrong 3 times (she had FLIES, FLEAS, and FLUES for the bottom) along with the correct top word, and she didn't solve it correctly for $39,000.

Oh, come on. SWIFT FOX singular has the "required" RSTLNE in the first word. I had DOVES for the second, but I got it with her picks.

All three collegians did pretty well on this episode. It’s only fitting that Miriam landed where she did in the BR given she spun a lot in R1.

At my age, I can’t believe I didn’t solve TTU3. But I nailed TTU with just the R and R4 with the S’s. I was wrong on R2 – my no-letter guess was STUDENT BODY OF WORK.

I thought the BR was DOVES with RSTLNE (they are SWIFT), but I got it with Miriam’s choices. As Pat stated, I don’t think they were talking about bugs. Maybe the O would’ve done it for her? Tough luck for her.

My rating: 6

Out of all of the episodes from this specific set, this one was the weakest. Not bad, but aside from the 1st round, nothing really stood out to me.

Yeah, I know it's frustrating, but I think Miriam was nervous. Would you have solved that puzzle under that same scenario? There's a slight chance the answer might be a "no".
