RSTLNE is pretty generous to Victoria: CMDO gives her three more... IT BOGGLES THE MIND how some people are phenomenal at this game. As for Victoria, she is no exception as she snatches the $39,000. VICTORIA’S FINAL TOTAL: $57,225 ($46,550 and the Hawaiian vacation)Next season is season 40. The season minimum amount was introduced in S32 (Not S30, Pat!). Starting in the fall, $40,000 will be the season minimum. And I hope to god it doesn't continue for the next 60 years...

The most obvious crossword they’ve ever done, maybe aside from that one about the solar system, but you know it’s easy when the in-studio contestant gets a lay-up on it.
Bonus round was a real, definable phrase for once, shocking at this point in the season.
What Pat said was… off. It was more so irony that the minimum happened to be $30k during S30, so maybe he used that as a sticking point?
But we all know it should’ve rightfully stopped after 35.

BIG ISLAND BIG FUN, really? BATTLE CREEK MICHIGAN was at least a legitimate, if obscure On the Map puzzle, but that's not a phrase, just a TV show episode to a show I've never heard of before that lasted a single season! Worst puzzle in quite a while.
On the opposite end of the spectrum... that crossword was a wee bit too obvious. I'd bet more home viewers no-lettered that puzzle than any other in the show's history.

As others said, that was a super easy Crossword. Still, I was a bit surprised Victoria solved it so quickly.
Ooh, we were pretty close to getting a 6th round tonight.
Pretty easy bonus puzzle, the O probably sealed it for her.

The most obvious crossword they’ve ever done, maybe aside from that one about the solar system, but you know it’s easy when the in-studio contestant gets a lay-up on it. I still think that one we had not too long ago that was simply ONE TWO THREE FOUR will be the easiest we've ever had. I thought it was interesting that Wheel not only did quotation marks in the clue, but had Pat point them out like a Jeopardy! category.

That has to be the quickest we've gotten through the first two rounds in recent memory. Like, a decade, recent memory. That was nuts. (Sure, it was caused by excessive conservatism in R1 followed by the world's easiest crossword, but hey, it's something, right?)
We were so far ahead after R3 I half wondered if today's R5 was originally an R4. That's extraordinary long for an R5 and also a meta puzzle. We know they love to end the games on their meta puzzles and rhyme times. Are all of the rounds locked into place on these games, or does Wheel have some flexibility after R3?
The disappointment of not getting to 6 rounds tonight was very much wiped away by the surprise BR win. I was happy for her that it actually WASN'T PUZZLES instead of BOGGLES this late in the season.

Darn. I was hoping we could reach 6 rounds on this penultimate episode (and yes, that was an easy crossword). Still though, Victoria was an awesome solver and I knew her calling O would do it for her in the BR (which I got with RSTLNE). 7/10Welp, that's all I wrote for S39. See ya next season!

Pretty good show. I no-lettered Rounds 2 and 5, and I was also hoping for a six-rounder.
I got the bonus puzzle with RSTLNE, and I was nervous about the second word.

This game went by so fast, I thought we’d have a R6 (or even a R7) – but alas, R5 took a while. Still an exciting episode.
Like many of us, I no-lettered R2. I waffled between several options for the second word of the BR, but Victoria’s picks confirmed my hunch of BOGGLES. Thank goodness she picked O on top to solve that one!
