From Sony Studios, it's America's Game!
WHEEL OF FORTUNE
EUROPEAN VACATION
EPISODE #2431
Here are today's contestants!
Julia Catanzarite is from Las Vegas. She's a retired electronics person. She's got two kids and a great boyfriend, likes volunteering at hospitals, and loves attending concerts
Cindy Bottini is back from Eagle River, AK. She won $6,400 last time yesterday. She's married, has a great husband, two kids, and a brother (Mark), who watches in San Francisco.
Richard Gordon is from Newport News, VA. He's an attorney. He's lived there with his wife, Joanne, and children, Kimberly and Casey.
Richard was surprised when the H came up, but he knew about GENE HACKMAN for $2,350.
The Round 2 prize is a trip to the 1996 Olympics! They'll enjoy ATLANTA with a trip worth $4,412! (the price alternates between red and blue colors, with a white outline, because of course, USA).
Richard knows THE BARBER OF SEVILLE for $2,750 more.
I'D KNOW THAT FACE ANYWHERE. Cindy is excited that she's won $450 and this SURPRISE: a signature from George Custer worth $7,750!
Richard reads off MADE OF DURABLE PLASTIC SURGEON for another $1,700.
...and that's the game!
Cindy here again in the Bonus Round thanks to General Custer, with a 2-day total of $14,600. She can win the following:
A trip to England's famous flower show, worth over $26,000!
A $20,000 trip to Rome!
A $15,000 trip to Paris!
A 1996 Saab 900s worth over $28,000!
...and finally, the $25,000 cash!
I don't usually make these types of comments, but Pat seems really hung up on the fact that Cindy won solely because of an expensive General Custer's signature. He jokes around about maybe having crusted dinnerware from Vesuvius next week.
New week, new WHEEL choices. Cindy chooses the first E.
RSTLN E give...
CDM A give...
Cindy tries sounding out DECK, and then figures out the second word is either SLIP or SLOP, but can't get a DEPOSIT SLIP for the SAAB. Apparently, there's a star on top of the envelope, meaning that there was a bonus that came with the car. Maybe next time for Cindy, as she defends!
