From Sony Studios, it's America's Game!
WHEEL OF FORTUNE
EPISODE #2493
Here are today's contestants!
Commander James "Jim" Hun is from Virginia Beach. He's currently stationed aboard the aircraft carrier USS Carl Vinson, home ported in the San Francisco Bay area. He's the chief engineer. He was fleet engineer of the year. He is married to Jane, and has two children (Jennifer & Jeffrey). Jennifer recently married, while Jeffrey's in college.
Barbra Starns is from Bartlett, IL. She's a bartender. She has four children, and just recently, a grandchild. She pitches for a ladies' ball team called Libby's Ladies, with a middling record. She's a Wheelie, not a Trekkie.
John David is from Yorktown Heights, NY. He's retired from the largest public mail delivery organization in the country. He left nine years early to become "Mr. Mom" to his ten-year-old daughter. He collects science fiction books and records, and is great at handball, which should be in the Olympics.
9821 note: I've jokingly memed about Olympic Handball before, which was at the 1996 Olympics. If he's talking about that game where you hit a ball against a wall, then yeah, it's not there.
Sounds like Barbara is excited about BRAVEHEART, for $1,650.
Round 2 adds REI camping gear and Connelly water skis. This OUTDOORS package is worth $2,475!
COLLECT CALL ME IRRESPONSIBLE, but John, you look excited about all your loot.
Barbara knows that JERSEY HOLSTEIN & GUERNSEY are all COWS for a round total of $4,450!
Round 4 adds a trip to MEXICO.
It looks like Jim understands the gravity of the situation by solving SIR ISAAC NEWTON.
DING-DING! DING-DING!
We have little time, but this round will decide if Barbara or John moves on. Vowels are worth nothing, consonants worth... $300.
Barbara: R ($300)
John: N (x3 - $900)
Jim: T (DUD!)
Barbara: C (DUD!)
John: L (DUD!)
Jim: D (DUD!)
Barbara: G ($600)
Barbara beats the buzzer with a NO PARKING ZONE and clenches the win!
Out of WHE*L, Barbara picks L for "lucky". Let's see if she can win a piano, a trip, a car, or cash with this TITLE:
It's a shorter puzzle, so RSTLN E isn't going to do much...
CDM A do... something.
Before Pat can stop speaking, Barbara solves HEIDI for the 1996 2.2 CL Sport Luxury Coupe. This ACURA car is worth $23,960!
Barbara's daughter, Renee, and friend, Wally, enjoy her $30,660 in cash and prizes!
