From the Sony Pictures Studios, it's America's Game!
WHEEL OF FORTUNE
PLAY TO WIN SWEEPSTAKES - WEEK 2
EPISODE #2852
Here are today's contestants!
Mike Weisong is from Palm Beach Gardens, FL. He's a general manager of an appliance store. He's engaged, to marry February 7th to Debbie.
Unique Hayes is from Toledo, OH. It's a nickname given to her by her friends. She has one child, Rio, and Pat assumes his gender incorrectly, leading to laughter. She's a senior at the University of Toledo, majoring in mechanical engineering and graduating May 9th.
Melissa Allen is from Sherman Oaks, CA. She's an artist/illustrator with her own company. She's also an up-and-coming actress, and is athletic, enjoying running, kayaking, and wants to wish her dad a happy birthday.
*Mike looks at the Unique's flipper, and thinking Melissa had spun a bankrupt, began to spin the wheel. Pat stopped and reset the wheel.
I doubt Melissa was paying attention to this, but today, February 24, 1998, is actually MARDI GRAS IN NEW ORLEANS! Thanks to that, she's won $1,900 and a SURPRISE: a motorcycle! It's a Triumph Thunderbird with a three-cylinder 885 engine worth $8,995!
After Pat cajoles Melissa with some less intense sports, he throws to Charlie for the Round 2 plug for a $3,500 SEARS gift certificate. Dress it up with a Kenmore grill, a patio set, and Cascade Ridge mountain bikes, and Reebok shoes, but it doesn't change the fact it's just an IOU from Sears!
I'd have some personal problems if YOU'RE MAKING MY HEAD SPIN THE WHEEL, but Melissa can do it for $500.
Week 2 giveaway puzzle:
Mike, just forget about the jackpot, and focus on the SQUARE DANCE PARTNERS. They've got more money, with $10,500!
So much time has been dedicated to our two big winners, that we're nearly out of time. Pat starts Round 4 immediately. Vowels worth nothing, but consonants are worth... $600 ┬
Mike: S ($600)
Unique: T (x3 - $1,800)
Melissa: N (x2 - $1,200)
Mike: R (DUD!)
Unique: K ($2,400)
Melissa: W ($1,800)
Mike: M (DUD!)
Unique: O (x5)
Unique can say about her feet that IT TOOK ON A LIFE OF ITS OWN, as she twirls, $2,400 richer.
Pat continues to mess around with all the athletic stories Melissa could have.
W H E E L
RSTLN E... gives three letters.
KPD I..., well, it's clear she was thinking KEEP IT UP, but that's obviously not it with the letters given.
Melissa says KEEP IT UP anyways, then HAVE IT UP, FEED IT UP, and MAKE IT UP, but she can't BEEF IT UP for... honestly, the VHS tape dies at this point, but the only word out of Pat's mouth before the cut from commercial is "second", so I'm going to guess it was the DURANGO again.
She's still got $11,395, and is in first place for the Friday Finals for now.
Pat Chat: Pat notes that kayak spelled backwards is kayak.
