From the Sony Pictures Studios, it's America's Game!
WHEEL OF FORTUNE
WHEEL GOES TO THE MOVIES
EPISODE #2907
Here are today's contestants!
Christopher Lay is from Clinton, MS. He's an entertainment host for a cruise line. In his free time, he likes to scuba dive.
Betsy Delaney is from Burbank, CA. She's a computer consultant. She was originally from Woodbridge, NJ. In her free time, she likes to play golf.
Michelle Dorris is from Memphis, TN. She's married with two children (Brent - 7, Cameron - 3). She's a marketing representative for a major express carrier. In her spare time, she likes to swim, travel, and have fun.
Betsy solves FLORENCE ITALY for $1,400.
Round 2 adds 500 movie tickets valid at Loew's Theaters, Magic Johnson Theaters, and Star Theaters! It's worth $3,000!
The wedge says THE MOVIES.
Christopher solves BEST SUPPORTING ACTRESS KIM BASINGER for $1,000 and the 500 movie tickets!
But wait, there's more! If Christopher can name who was the Best Supporting Actor this past awards ceremony, he'll get another $2,000!
Christopher says JACK NICHOLSON... and then after being told he was wrong he realized his mistake. Jack Nicholson did win the Best Leading Actor award, as talked about in the As Good as It Gets copy in the prize yesterday. However, Best Supporting Actor went to ROBIN WILLIAMS for Good Will Hunting. He knew, but just confused the two.
Christopher knows his WHO WHAT WHEN WHERE HOW & WHY, especially with $2,900 and the SURPRISE: A trip to Paris! He'll fly to the Le Parc Hotel and check out the Lido de Paris nightclub with tickets. This trip is worth $6,984!
A clip from The Last Time I Saw Paris plays on the big screen into commercial.
DING-DING! DING-DING!
Betsy can't escape the $250, but maybe Pat can. Vowels are worth nothing, but consonants... $250 (TDV) ┬, so maybe Pat can't either.
Betsy: C (x2 - $2,150)
Michelle: K ($250)
Michelle, YOU CRACK ME UP YOUR SLEEVE. You've got $250, but Wheel is nice, so we'll bump that up to $500.
Christopher can win any of these prizes:
A trip to Tokyo to see the world premiere of Sony Pictures' Godzilla and a 1998 Celica GT worth over $36,000!
A space adventure worth over $21,000!
A four-day "big shot" package, featuring lunch in a major studio, and a luxury car and cell phone, and then afterwards, a 1998 Land Rover worth over $45,000!
...and $25,000 cash!
W H E E L
RSTLN E... gives the middle two letters.
CLMD A... doesn't do anything. Christopher tries PAST and WEST SIDE, but can't visit the GIFT SHOP for the SPACE ADVENTURE. $13,884 ain't too shabby either.
Pat Chat: Pat thanks the people in Houston for the great remote, but now they're back in Culver City.
