From the Sony Pictures Studios, it's America's Game!
WHEEL OF FORTUNE
WHEEL ACROSS AMERICA
EPISODE #2913
Here are today's contestants!
Chris Meservey is from Las Vegas, NV. He teaches world history, radio broadcasting, and public speaking. He just wants to make sure his students do their homework. He's working on his master's at UNLV, is married to Julie, and has a pair of twins and a third child, Kyle, Ryan, and Rachel. His wife pushed him to get here.
Boadicea White is from Dallas, TX. She was found at a contestant search at the Fairmont Hotel in Dallas. This is the first time she's been in the area. She's a freelance journalist who works for the Dallas's Park and Recreation department.
Antoinette "Annie" Sepulveda Pruitt is from Mendocino, CA. She's a floral designer and gardener. She has a daughter, Dominica, and two stepchildren, Laurie and Kenny, and two granddaughters, Carrie Anne and Kiara, AND two famous dogs: two Chesapeake Bay Retrievers did a national telephone commercial. One weighs 125 pounds.
Right now, Annie is A CUT ABOVE THE REST with $1,100. As she deals with a button breaking off of her blouse, Charlie describes the round 2 prize:
A "lucky" contestant might stay at the Furnace Creek Inn in beautiful DEATH VALLEY! It's a prize worth $3,610.
Annie solves THE RED STRIPES & WHITE STRIPES ON OLD GLORY for $3,600. For another $2,000, can she fill in how many red and white stripes there are?
She misunderstands the question and thinks they just want the number of stripes total, so she guesses 13. When Pat asks her to differentiate between red and white, not all stripes, she says 13 red & 13 white, which Pat points out would be a very big flag. It's 7 RED & 6 WHITE.
Annie continues to sweep thanks to GOLF PRO JACK NICKLAUS.
DING-DING! DING-DING!
This game has drawn to a close. Vowels are worth nothing, but consonants... $300 ┌.
Annie: H (x2 - $2,350 | mutters CHEESE)
Chris: K
Chris can get some CHUNKY BLUE CHEESE DRESSING for $300, which is raised to $500.
W H E E L
RSTLN E gives four letters...
CHG A makes it two-thirds....
Annie thinks BAR, CARHOUSE, BARHOUSE, CAREHOUSE, STAR, STAREHOUSE, but can't clear the WAREHOUSE of the ROUTE 66 trip. $5,950 in cash isn't too shabby though.
Pat Chat: Pat mentions that all of these signs is so collectable. He mentions that that if we saved things instead of throwing them away, they could have made some money. We still have five bonus round prizes, and hopefully someone wins one tomorrow!
