From the Sony Pictures Studios, it's America's Game!
WHEEL OF FORTUNE
EUROPEAN VACATION WEEK
EPISODE #3038
Here are today's contestants!
Jonathan Brown is from Playa Del Ray, CA. He's engaged to her Sarah, who's from England. He's originally from Ann Arbor, MI. He's a celebrity voice impersonator, and does Johnny Carson, who just finished a screenplay with Angela Lansbury, who plays Joan of Arc on Noah's Ark called Martyr, She Floats.
Jannette Hunter is from Henderson, NV. She's an office manager. She's married to Herb. She was a personal assistant to the Isley Brothers, who sang Shouts and Who's that Lady. She once had to fill in for one of the backup singers at an awards ceremony. She can't sing, so she just did the movements.
Mark Bullock is from Rock Hill, SC. He's been married to Kimberly for three years. There's a baby on the way that's due in April. He's a state trooper. He does a little Elvis impersonation.
Jannette solves ENTERTAINMENT TONIGHT for a nice $6,900. Can she make it even nicer by solving this Puzzler for an extra $3,000?
Jannette stumbles with TOM, but just like Wheel of Fortune, she forgot about BOB GOEN. Pat mentions that he liked Bob very much, the only problem was he did the show better than he did.
Round 2 adds a HI-TECH package: a Panasonic PalmCam digital camera, Panasonic multi-input digital photo printer, an HP Pavilion multimedia PC, featuring a 300 MHz processor, CD-ROM drive, one-touch internet access, 15-inch monitor, and (Polk?) audio/stereo speakers! This package is worth $2,798!
Jonathan solves it as AROUND THE WORLD IN 80 DAYS for $1,350. This is taken as a solve for the puzzle, but he has to say 80 again for the $2,000 bonus.
The Jackpot exists, and so does this second prize: a trip to ALASKA! In Elfin Cove, AK, Tamaku Lodge allows a lot of outdoorsy stuff. It's a trip worth $7,100!
Jonathan can fall in love with CUPID'S BOW TIE with $800 and the Hi-Tech package.
Mark's got some FAIR HAIR to get his first cash.
DING-DING! DING-DING!
We all knew that was coming. Vowels are worth nothing, but consonants are worth... $5,000 ┌!
Mark: D (x2 - $10,450)
Pat says that only vowels remain.
Jonathan: A (x1)
Just like the calories in DIET SODA, Jonathan solves with absolutely nothing. The house minimum of $500 kicks in, however.
Pat prompts Jonathan to do a Casey Kasem immitation.
W H E E L
RSTLN E is realistically only going to give one letter...
CDM O at least gives himself something...
Jonathan says BONE, BOON, JOHN, JOAN, MOAN, and LOAN, but not a GOWN for the FRENCH/ITALIAN RIVIERA trip. He still won $7,448 in cash and prizes!
Pat Chat: Vanna's tomato sauce part 3! Pat says he'll bring his own pasta so he can open that one jar. Vanna mentions that she'd like to can jellies without adding sugar, but doesn't know how. Heck, Pat claims people will send her a dead moth if she asks for it.
