From the Sony Pictures Studios, it's America's Game!
WHEEL OF FORTUNE
EUROPEAN VACATION WEEK
EPISODE #3040
Here are today's contestants!
Nicole Sarah is from Clinton Township, MI. She has a son, Joey, who is three. She's a nail technician at a salon. She does bridal shows and wants to be an actress.
Andy Tieger is from Jacksonville, FL. He's got a grandson, Javon, that he spends most of his time with. He works for the #1 family restaurant chain in the United States. He once opened up a restaurant in Ecuador and had the pleasure of catering with the Special Olympics.
Pam Gordillo is from Santa Rosa, CA. She has a little three-year-old named DJ. She works at a major medical facility. She says this is the best day of her life.
Andy can go to the CANDY STORE and buy like 190,000 penny candies or something. Maybe he can add 300,000 more if he can solve this puzzle:
Andy says LIP, LOLLIPOP, and LOLLIPOPS for the $3,000!
...or wait, he doesn't get it? The producers are saying that it's only one guess a puzzle, and that LOLLIPOP was wrong, so no extra $3,000?
...but then Pat says he won $4,900, which no, he'd have only won $1,900 if the Puzzler was ruled incorrect. Whatever, THE DOORS apparently signed a photograph. Ray Manzerik, John Densmore, and Robbie Krieger all signed, plus Jim Morrison's stray signature is also included in the frame. This is worth $3,000.
...and then Pat corrects the $4,900 to $1,900. This is fun. I don't want to recap Wheel; I want to talk about controversial decisions.
That's the difficult part about pressing your luck for more money: THERE'S ONLY ONE WAY TO FIND OUT if you would have won more or not. Nicole solves for $350, which is brought up to the $500 house minimum.
...after they come back from commercial, Pat explains that there isn't anything in the rules to stop multiple guesses, meaning Andy should have gotten the $3,000 for a correct Puzzler solve.
Jackpot is more than $3,000, and so is a trip to ST. CROIX! At the Annapolis sailing school, a contestant might take a week-long hands-on course. This is worth $6,480!
Andy spots DANNY DEVITO & RHEA PERLMAN for $1,800 more.
Andy solves MOOSE CALL WAITING for $7,350!
DING-DING! DING-DING!
I'm almost out of patience, and we're almost out of time. Vowels are worth nothing, but consonants are worth... $900 ┐.
Andy: S (x3 - $2,700)
Pam: N ($900)
Nicole: D (DUD!)
Andy: T ($3,600 | THE FOUR SENSES, THE SIXTH...)
Pam: H ($1,800)
Andy forgetting that there were THE FIVE SENSES gave Pam her only $1,800. He just laughs it off, and says he doesn't have his eyesight.
W H E E L
Hey, another puzzle where RSTLN E is obviously just going to give an S!
CPM I... gives two more letters, somehow!
...and HIPS don't lie, because Andy is going to have the LONDON & INFINITI! He'll stay at St. James Court with deluxe rooms. Then, he'll enjoy a 1999 Infiniti I30. It's a prize package worth $36,713!
$50,763, as Andy's wife, Pat, comes down to celebrate the car!
Pat Chat: Vanna's tomato sauce, part 5! This time, Pat does have pasta, so he can try the sauce! Staff brings out two plates, some goblets of water, candles, plants, the whole nine yards. Pat pours some sauce onto his pasta and tries it. He enjoys it, and wants Vanna's tomato sauce, part 6 next week, but because the sauce is so good, Pat keels over and falls out of his chair.
Heck, Andy got to try the sauce as well in the closing credits! He seems to enjoy it.
