From the Hilton Hawaiian Village, it's America's Game!
WHEEL OF FORTUNE
BEST FRIENDS WEEK FROM HAWAII
EPISODE #3047
Here are today's contestants!
Charlotte Beavers & John Pugsley: They met in the United States Air Force eight years ago in Izmir, Turkey. John is married to Becky, who is also in the Air Force. Charlotte's fiancee and soon-to-be husband is stationed in Cairo, and John is going to give her away.
Tara Kahahawai & Kanani Kawa'akoa: They have been best pals since they met in ninth grade homeroom ten years ago. Tara was born and raised in the windward side of Hawai'i. She's married and has a one-year-old daughter Kobe. Kanani was born and raised here as an investment specialist of a major bank in Oahu.
Al Coo & Russell Wong: They met in high school and are now firefighters together. Al is married with three children, and is from Milan, HI. They're stationed in Moanalua Station 30. Russell is married and has a six-month-old baby boy at home.
Charlotte & John are perfect so far, with winnings good for a story from THE ASSOCIATED PRESS. Can they get the lede on this Puzzler for $3,000 more?
Charlotte & John mumble between themselves, then Charlotte yells SPORTS PAGE for the bonus money!
Round 2 adds some Fiji CAMERAS (Photonext 3500 Zoom & Photonext 1010 Tiara) and a year's worth of film worth $2,500!
Tara & Kanani know of CONAN O'BRIEN'S SIDEKICK ANDY RICHTER for $3,050!
Along with the Jackpot, there's a trip to LAS VEGAS at Caesar's Palace worth $7,800!
I don't know if Charlotte & John have seen a FLAWLESS DIAMOND HEAD, but they've got another $2,200.
Because we just have no time this week, Pat's already giving the Final Spin. Vowels are worth nothing, but consonants are worth... $600 ┬.
Charlotte & John: S (DUD!)
Tara & Kanani: T (x2 - $1,200)
Al & Russell: N (x2 - $1,200)
Charlotte & John: R (x2 - $1,200)

A 1999 Mazda Miata worth over $25,000!
...and the $25,000!
W H E E L
RSTLN E only gives the first letter...
KPM O, after much argument between the two, actually do a bit of work!
Charlotte & John try SOAP MIX and SOUP MIX right away, SOAP MOP, SOAP MAN, SOUP MOP, SOUP MOM, SOUP SOIL SOUP MAN MIX, and SOUP MAX, but unfortunately, they wanted a SOUP MUG, which was Pat's name in high school. They can't win the JEEP, but there's no reason to feel bad when they've won $11,350 in cash!
Pat Chat: Vanna mentions that 1996, the Tropical Connection developed a new white anthurium and named it after her. This time, it's a red anthurium distinguished by its "richness, fullness, and durability" has been named Sajak Red. Pat mentions that if you keep it well watered, the plant will stay firm for two years.
