From the Sony Pictures Studio, it's America's Game!
WHEEL OF FORTUNE
SCANDANAVIA WEEK
EPISODE #3053
Here are today's contestants!
Lori Skoll is from Torrance, CA. She's a recent graduate of Chico State. She picked up a degree in hotel management, and currently works for a major computer product distributor. In her spare time, she likes to play soccer, go swimming in the summer, and go shopping.
Jeff Fleming is from Las Vegas, NV. He has a wife of 25 years, Anita, two daughters (Karen and Kathy), and a son-in-law, Alvin. He spends a lot of time in community theater, where his favorite production was Fiddler on the Roof, where he got to play the lead. His real job is a claims adjuster.
Gerald Brinson is from Jacksonville, FL. He's a lab technician. He has two handsome six-year-old sons. He's a single parent and loves playing t-ball with them.
Lori solves SATELLITE DISH TOWEL for $700.
You know what would make this game better? Barbeques Galore. More specifically, they're offering a six-foot Balboa island, fitted with a wok plate. This BBQ machine is worth $3,000!
Gerald solves GRAND CANYON NATIONAL PARK for $2,750. He can make that $5,750 if he can solve this Puzzler.
Gerald mutters TWO, and then guesses BADGER right at the buzzer. We wanted a RANGER.
The Jackpot probably has pizza toaster grease. A trip to the BAHAMAS at Atlantis, Paradise Island, worth $6,600 is probably less greasy.
Gerald tries MEMBO JEMBO, which isn't the right vowel.
Apologies for the bad MUMBO JUMBO, but I'm surprised Lori won the $8,900 Jackpot!
This was one night where one person kept steamrolling through the competition. I'm sure Lori's opponents are thinking I HATE IT WHEN THAT HAPPENS.
Now, it's just Lori against the Bonus Round, with the chance to win any of these prizes:
A trip to Solvang, CA, and a Saab 9-3 convertible worth over $42,000!
A new Volvo S70 worth over $37,000!
A Saab 9-3 hatchback worth over $30,000!
A Scandinavian tour of Oslo, Stockholm, and Coepnhagen worth over $23,000!
...and $25,000 cash!
W H E E L
RSTLN E gives three letters...
CHM A gives only a vowel...
Lori tries STATUE and STEEPLE, but can't go into the SIDEWALK enjoying $25,000 more. Pat quotes the last puzzle, and then consoles Lori, saying she's already won $12,200.
Pat Chat: Pat noticed that there's some cut-up fruit, and now there's a lot of fruit flies. He's confused on how it happens. The flies aren't there, then suddenly, they are. Pat notes that no one else really knows, or cares.
