Guys, it finally happened!!!!!!!! For the first time in 21 years, the Mariners are going to the postseason!!!!!!!!!!! I can't believe its finally happening!!!!!! Thank you so much Cal Raleigh for hitting that game winning solo shot in the bottom of the 9th to finally end the drought!!!!!!. Never in my life have they made the postseason before so its a first timer for me. Last time they were in the postseason I wasn't born till the following year.
I'm a huge Mariners fan guys I just had to talk to about it. You have no idea how excited I am. Postseason starts on Friday, We don't know yet who the Mariners will play but it is gonna be either the Guardians, Rays, or Blue Jays. It should be starting on Tuesday but due to the lockout they extended the regular season till Wednesday. With this, The Mariners are no longer the longest playoff drought in all of sports. The longest playoff drought in all of sports now belongs to the Sacramento Kings. Anyways I can't wait til Friday!!!!

Hey, you can thank Cal Raleigh for the playoffs.
Also, the Kings suck. That's why they can never get in the playoffs. They're just never up to standards, and I barely know any of their players.

^ You're right. The Kings deserve the longest drought in sports more than the Mariners do. They deserve it because they are not even trying to end it. They haven't had one winning season since their last playoff appearance unlike the Mariners who have had 9 winning seasons since their last playoff appearance. The Mariners wouldn't try from 2004-2013. They began trying in 2014 though. They were close to the playoffs in 2014, 2016, 2018, and 2021 but they came up just short. It's over now finally.
Also I forgot to say this yesterday, the Mariners started the season 11-6, went on a 1-10 slump to go to 12-16, they continued slumping until June 19 when they started 29-39, then after starting 29-39, they went on a 22-3 stretch in their next 25 including a 14 game winning streak from July 2-17, and since the 14 game winning streak, they were fighting to stay in the wild card hunt and they did it. They turned their season from disappointing to the drought finally over. What a season.

The Mariners are going to the ALDS!!!!!!!! What a wild comeback they pulled off today after being down 8-1. They sweep the Blue Jays in the Wild Card series. They will face the Astros in the ALDS and it starts on Tuesday. I'm very nervous because the Astros are really good and they are the greatest team in the AL West, the division the Mariners are in also. Anyways I can't wait for Tuesday. Can't wait to see what happens

Well, the Mariners are done. Today's game finally just ended after 18 innings. They got swept by the Astros. I can't believe they failed to win at least 1 game against them in this series. The Astros are the toughest team in our division. When you are playing them, you have got to step up. When it's the playoffs, you really got to step up. It makes me mad when they do this against the Astros. With them playing them in the playoffs, they really couldn't do this, and guess what, they did. They played good in Game 1 but lost on the last play thanks to a Yordan Alvarez home run. Game 2 wasn't as good as Game 1 but they lost again thanks to another Yordan Alvarez home run. And today, both teams struggle to score until the 18th inning. They may be done but hey, I'm just happy the drought is finally over. Hopefully next year they return to the playoffs and their record will be better than last year and this year
