Daniel Lincoln: West Hills, CA. USC School of Music assistant professor (BFA music theater program). He was 17 when he wrote his first symphony, 19 when he wrote his first opera, and wrote his first musical at 21 (not on Broadway yet). His nana (Lucy) is a big fan of the show (they used to watch it together). She's struggling with dementia, but she is still an absolute pro at this show. In this case, Daniel's playing for her.

When Pat was 17, he learned to tie a tie. Daniel compliments it.

The main thing I remember from this episode was the weak spins Lorraine, or as I accidentally kept calling her "Momo", was giving throughout the whole episode. It didn't seem like a strength issue as much is it was just not following through with her spins. It seemed like people wanted her to finish her spins and I thought even Pat gently tried to remind her to get a good grip on the Wheel. We kept remarking how she would hit the green $500 and she couldn't even do that on the final spin. We were worried that she wasn't going to be able to spin the bonus wheel, but she had no problem with that, unlike the puzzle.

While the miniscule spins were distracting, the judgement on that speed-up didn't feel that long. They didn't leave the podium and stayed there for maybe a minute before ruling his solve as a correct one. Not sure what I would've done in that situation, but it didn't matter.

Some weird trends are starting to pop up, Red's won all 3 times (with the prize wedge even). Phrase has gone two in a row; will any of those trends track for the second half of shows? There are some that I would want to see continue, and some that I wouldn't, but that's for the second half of the week. See you all tomorrow.

Never realized how much this applied to more than a simple want.

I had a rough time with the first three rounds, but everything else was easier, especially the Speed-Up which I got with just the T.

I also got the bonus puzzle with RSTLNE, though I wasn't sure about it. Was the YOU even necessary?

Daniel made me think of Weird Al Yankovic. Too bad he didn't quite have enough to win after solving the Speed Up puzzle, but still a very nice haul.

Ugh, Lorraine had a lot of help for the bonus round puzzle. The only letter that would've helped her more was the Y.

It was the match between Lorraine and Daniel. Too bad Megan had no luck, Daniel lost by less than $600, and Lorraine surprisingly didn’t get the top line of the BR (I thought she had it in the bag; I got it with RSTLNE).

Honestly, I’ve never heard TU2 called that before, and I would’ve flubbed TTU1 with TOURNAMENT. Are these kinds of Wednesday Triple Toss-Ups gonna be commonplace this season? But I solved R2 with the first two letters and R4 with just the T.
