Nicole Letarte: From Anaheim, CA; married to her husband Max for a little over a year; her birthday is on October 26, and so is Pat's birthday, but she never calls him; she has a desire to go to Japan, and her favorite food is ramen ("You're going to Japan for the ramen. Wouldn't it be easier to go to the mall?")
Shon Jeng: Also from Anaheim (but has never met Nicole); married to his wife Heidi for 5 years and counting, and they have a 16-month old daughter; he owns plenty of comic books...but he lost count after around 10,000, and he organizes them, looks at them, and smells them sometimes, as "old comic books have a certain smell that you just have to appreciate" (Pat does that with his sock collection), and he doesn't know if his wife approves of it.

We've got some fun contestants here, though it's another one of those days that the gameplay could've been better. Of course, this comes from someone who blanked on the last word in the $1,000 Toss-Up.

I got the bonus puzzle with RSTLNE. I guess CDMA wins this one, and I was feeling a win. So close, and yet so far.

Either the wheel was a lot tighter than usual, or those were some weak spinners. I don’t think I’ve seen an episode where no one could get the wheel more than halfway around.

While nothing terrible happened here, this game was one big snooze fest (aside from two contestants being from Anaheim), so I’ll skip to…

BR: It didn’t come to me immediately, but I also RSTLNEd it. I figured not picking M would doom Shon.

Loved the outtake at the very end.

Aside from an interesting batch of contestants, the start to this season’s first unthemed week was… average. I was hoping Megan didn’t take that last spin in R1, and perhaps Shon needed an M in the BR.

I wonder if R2 was a replacement. Even if it wasn’t… yum! But I solved the BR with RSTLNE.
