In the final segment, Pat explains some Roman Numeral trivia. Most grandfather clocks have them on their faces, as do some watches. What's the Roman Number for 4? IV. Even if it was a normal Trip Puzzle, John had a very good main game. I couldn't get the $1,000 Toss-Up, Round 3, or the second Triple in time.

We've debated about whether the Million Dollar Wedge is worth risking in the Mystery Round. However, the XL wedge should have been an instant decline with a guaranteed $40,000 bonus for solving the bonus puzzle, rather than a 4.16% chance at hitting the $1,000,000 Envelope (even with XL week, it's still just a 8.33% chance).

Speaking of the bonus puzzle, I thought YUMMY CAKE with RSTLNE, but I got the answer with the A's. I wonder if they were expecting an O call?

John had an impressive game. His pauses startled me (especially in R1), but they worked out for him. Had he not lost the XL wedge… man, what could’ve been.

I dunno how he solved TTU2 so fast, but I no-lettered TTU3. I only heard of a SMORGASBORD because of tonight’s episode of Jeopardy!

But I gotta mute certain game shows on Twitter, because that’s where I saw the BR solution. I’ve never heard of that good until now, but at least John quickly figured out the first word.

This was pretty much John’s game, though this game could have been much smoother.

R2: Yeah, that was an ill-advised risk on the XL. He already has a huge lead at that point. It didn’t help that this round was ugly.

Speaking of which, the last time I saw a SMORGASBORD was through a pic at an Amazon Fresh store.

BR: Also never heard of it, even though I got spoiled via Reddit.

I think the Collette trip was to Italy. With Jim not doing the announcing before R1 for those trips this season most of the time, wouldn’t it be better to not use the Collette wedges? Just some food for thought.
