From Sony Pictures Studio, it's America's game! We'll be checking out from Southern Hospitality week...
Now, prove you can play our game by grabbing those Toss-Up thingies.
Go!
Jane solves A PICNIC IN THE PARK.
A picnic with this trio:
Jane DeRosa: Grade 6 teacher on Long Island; she's often mistaken for Joan Rivers, and she says "I want her wardrobe."; from Smithtown, NY (not teaching there)
Ted Wilks, Jr.: Married with three dogs, a shepherd, and a cat; from Stone Mountain, GA (originally from Louisiana), and...
Christine Smith: Fiscal director at the state attorney's office in Palm Beach county, about to make 30 years with the state, and just adopted two kittens; from Tequesta, FL (originally from a tiny town in Pennsylvania)
Go!
"What?!" Jane instantly solves DR. DOLITTLE.
An impressive Toss-Up solve could be a good sign for Jane as she spins the Wheel.
Christine solves I KNOW IT INSIDE OUT. We get to see Pat look at some photos of Christine's kittens...but we can't see the photos ourselves.
Perfection! Ted reads what's on the board for the classic big round!
Pat: Who's your favorite classical singer?
Ted: Charlotte Church!
Even after a round like that, you could still win a fortune in record time with the assistance of the $10,000 prize.
Jane solves HOME ON THE RANGE ROVER.
Go!
Ted solves THE BARE NECESSITIES to add to his lead.
Though any worries may be justified if he loses control and someone else lucks out with a $5,000 spin during this round.
DING DING! DING DING!
Pat's had so much fun with Ted that's he'll be kind enough to let the host give the Wheel a Final Spin. Consonants are worth $500 + $1,000 for $1,500 a piece.
Ted: F (x2) ($4,350)
Ted solves HIGH-RANKING OFFICIALS.
BONUS ROUND:
RSTLNE gives him:
GMDA will at least light up the good vowel.

I'm "Teddy Bear Ted" from Atlanta
I'm so proud to be here with Vanna
Three players and a Wheel
It's a really big deal
And Pat Sajak is our top banana!
Pat: It's the last time I tell a player to tell us about yourself.
Ted could be our puzzle writer someday, but he didn't write this Toss-Up.

BONUS ROUND:
Ted might be "high-ranking" in Pat's book, and he deserves to take home one a car or some cash to finish the week! Why not go all the way with the $100,000?
We get a look at Ted's lucky bear before he gives the Bonus Wheel a spin. Ted will take the envelope from the 1's digit (Pat's rules; "Don't make me come over there!"), and one more puzzle for the week:

He says SAHARA before going silent. He does not solve BAVARIA. "I think you turn left at the Sahara."
We must now turn to Pat so he can reveal the Ford Mustang Convertible. Ted's fine with an all-cash total of $25,300.
In the post-game chat, Pat asks if Southern Hospitality was Vanna's idea, and it is, because she's from the south. They're friendly people, sitting on their front porch and saying hi. Vanna used to do that, but now...it's hard to hear her over the gate.
But really, Vanna's still the same person on the inside. Pat's feels he just becoming a really nasty person.
Pat: You know, I've just- I'm becoming a really nasty guy.
Vanna: He really is, isn't he?
Pat: I started this show 20 years ago, just a wide-eyed guy happy to be here. Now, people don't want to fly with me on airplanes. Have you read this Fodor poll? 38% wanna ride with Regis across the country on an airplane. 28% with Alex- I don't like walking down the hall with the guy! And me? 8%?! 8%?!
Vanna: It's okay.
Pat: What kind of "southern hospitality" is that?!
