We get to hear a story about former contestant Dom from the January 18, 2022 game. He won a trip to Switzerland, and he and his wife Tawny took it. It was their first ever visit!

That was one of Vanna's favorite places to go! Pat says they were lucky to go to a lot of great places, but Switzerland in particular was fabulous. He said that the honorary mayor of Zermatt yodeled during dinner, and with the acoustics in restaurants, yodeling is really loud when you try to scarf down fondue.

Man, now I miss occasionally taking the trip to one of Metro Vancouver's smaller towns and seeing the Rocky Mountaineer speed by at the railway crossing. Of course, it'd be a little too fast to wave to anybody if I wanted to try that.

Are we going to have strange contestants at the red position all week? Again, things were strange, but of course I'm glad that Randy got some money.

I called it. She picks Living Things plural, and RSTLNE only gives the obvious S. I should've gotten it with just that, but this is the one time I don't think about how this could be used as a puzzle. So I needed her picks for it.

Interesting that NIGHT COURT was part of a puzzle with the Night Court revival premiering on NBC tonight. Could it have been intentional?

If only she called the B. I got it after the I and Ps showed up.

TU1: At least that's more understandable than last night's misfire. I even said it myself before switching over to the correct answer. I got the next one when Randy rang in, believe it or not.

Again, minimal winnings in the first half translates into a ho-hum experience. Randy should've at least gone for the H's in R1, but it's a different story in the studio.

R3: Well, that Express run sort of makes up for some shortcomings.

BR: I got it off RSTLNE and figured that it would spell trouble for our champ.

Just like the previous episode, the first half wasn’t too exciting, but Angie’s Express run picked things up. Carmon’s second-place score wasn’t too shabby; she played pretty well. And Randy was fun to watch, but I would’ve gone for more in Round 1.

As for the Bonus Round… well, I knew it was trouble with RSTLNE. I even predicted the first word was BABY with no letters.

My rating: 6

This game didn’t get good till Round 3. That was a great express run by Angie. Great speed up solve by Carmon to cut her deficit just a little. I also got the speed up puzzle when she did.

I solved the bonus puzzle right at the buzzer. Wow I am so proud of myself for getting that, even though it took till the last second
