From Sony Pictures Studio, it's America's game! We now conclude Desert Oasis Week.
Go!
Chris solves STOP THAT TICKLES. That was a close one! Pat reminds us we don't always give the money away.
We won't know if these contestants are ticklish, will we?
Chris Ernest: Lieutenant in the Navy who works as a fast attack submariner, and he's on shore duty and teaches at the submarine training facility and about the Tomahawk weapon system; from Suffolk, VA
Ryan Right: Full-time student and part-time recreation coordinator, studying at Concordia University in Irvine, CA and graduating in May; from Newport Beach
Maria Risotto: Owns an Italian restaurant with the family in her hometown, from Seminole, FL
Go!
Maria guesses A GOOD WORD, which is not correct. (The "wrong letter" buzzer sounds.)
Chris tries to buzz in just after the N is revealed, but he's too late. We have a Triple Stumper! And to think, Pat just told us they don't always give the money away.
Chris solves YES SIR YES SIR THREE BAGS FULL. "Baa Baa, Black Sheep!" Chris doesn't have any wool of his own, though.
Maria solves MARGARITA & MAGNIFYING GLASS.
Go!
Maria solves WINSTON SALEM.
Pat: You must give quick service at your restaurant.
Ryan solves FOUR-WAY INTERSECTION to win the houseboat vacation.
DING DING! DING DING!
And as soon as we say that, we're pulled aside for Pat to give the Wheel a Final Spin. Consonants are worth $550 + $1,000 for $1,550 a piece. Chris begins.
Chris: T ($1,550)
Ryan: R (DUD!)
Maria: L (DUD!)
Chris: S (x2) ($4,650)
Chris quickly solves BASSET HOUND.
BONUS ROUND:
RSTLNE gives her:
CKMI can't do much more.
From Sony Pictures Studio, it's America's game! We now conclude Desert Oasis Week.
It's just a habit to give away money, and also for Vanna to activate Toss-Ups on our board.

Since nobody got the second Toss-Up, the red player is the one to start spinning the Wheel. Maria will give it a spin!
Not only that, she'll do it before the puzzle is revealed!

Perfection! Maria solves THE DIAMOND STORE. We don't always give the $3,000 bonus away, but we'll do it this time if Maria knows whose slogan it is.
We can give that away. Maria knows it's from Zales.
Maria | Chris | Ryan |
$7,400 | $1,000 |
Pat was unsure why Maria went first in this round even if she didn't solve the second Toss-Up, and it's just because she's the first player like old times. "I need to read the rules, again."
Say that Charlie is a player's best friend, and someone here might just win a 2001 Kawasaki All-Terrain Vehicle (labeled ATV) worth $4,599.
Maria made up for a Triple Stumper with a good first round. Chris could make up for it with a Jackpot win!

Pat then follows by sharing two photos of Maria's baby!
However, we can't see Pat's driver's license.
BONUS ROUND:
They've all been getting better since the start of the show. Maria could carry her puzzle solving skills to Bonus Land for a car or the cash, possibly finishing with a $100,000 win!
One more thing...even though Maria runs an Italian restaurant, she's from a big Greek family. "Is there anything else we can do for you?"
Maria didn't know she won, but now she knows she'll be spinning the Bonus Wheel! After stopping at the H in CASH, we end the week with one last puzzle:

THING |
She says A TABLE RING, A TIGER RING, A TOPPER RING, and A TIP RING. She does not solve A TOPAZ RING. If the $100,000 is inside, she'll be a little upset.
She can only "be a quarter of the way" upset with the $25,000 inside. But we can "unupset" her with the message that she won $15,100 in cash.
Pat talks about Maria in the post-game chat and how she runs a restaurant. Pat has a lot of pet peeves, as he could open a zoo, but when they don't write the order down in restaurants, it drives Pat loony, because they always miss something. Pat asks if they have all the details, but they never write it down. Why don't they? Vanna thinks they might want to impress you! Pat would be more impressed if they bring what he asks for. How's that?
