Kennedi Williams: From Waxahachie, TX; junior who plays volleyball, and she has some interest in theatre, singing, dancing, and acting at the Black Academy of Arts and Letters; her mom has been on the show, and she's cheering her on with the advice to look straight ahead and not at the Wheel (Pat says it's true, which is why he's there to tell the contestant where they landed)
Joel Foster: From Yuma, AZ; freshman whose mom was also on the show, and he came onstage when she won (so it's his second appearance); he's been the school mascot for a few months, but it's a lot of fun, and his mascot is a bald eagle (Pat laughs) named "Baldy"; his favorite subject is history, because it's crazy what people have done in the past

In the final segment, Pat asks what kind of teenager Vanna was, and she says she was a good teen. She had a couple of boyfriends, and she'd know them if she saw them. She hasn't seen them in a really long time. Pat might do more probing later in the week...

A much better day today. I was scared after the repeated A in round 1, but it came back to Molly for a good total.

The Triple Toss-Up round also scared me, but they were also solved.

The Speed-Up edit was certainly awkward. I thought it was going to be an explanation about calling only one letter at a time, but the (repeated?) R gave it away.

I got the bonus puzzle with RSTLNE, something that doesn't always happen with me, but it was a much better puzzle than last time. We have an all-cash champion!

Funny that two contestants had their mother on the show previously.

Poor Joel didn't have much of a chance tonight with the dud letters and repeats (though the first R call in the Speed-Up wasn't shown).

I got the bonus puzzle with the RSTLNE, and it looks like she knew it right away also with her letter choices.

Definitely an improvement over last night, even if the repeated letter calls were a bit too much.

I added in links for the shows that Kennedi's and Joel's moms were on. The show's TikTok account actually showed Joel's mom acing the Bonus Round (and showing Joel himself a few years back).

BR: Also an RSTLNE on my end. $64,700 in cold hard cash is nice.

The expensive Prize Puzzle trip tightened the match between the girls, and Molly caught a lucky break in the first round. All she needed was the right vowel in the Bonus Round, and she picked much more than that! Great job.

Poor Joel just couldn’t catch a break. I hope he still enjoyed himself; he was a hoot.

I was nervous about the near-stumpers in the Triple Toss-Up. And did Pat really ask Vanna if she had a lot of boyfriends as a kid?! 😬
