It did definitely feel like there were a few cuts, especially from La Donna's interview.

How is Totally Surprised at a Surprise Party a Phrase? They could have added BEING at the beginning and made it What Are You Doing?

Michelle looked like she was going to run away with the game early but then she had that missolve and the Bankrupt hit. Alex took over after that, and poor La Donna couldn't get anything going.

Very easy bonus puzzle with the two Ts and Ns showing.

I wasn’t expecting a change in stage for the third XL week, but I guess it was long overdue.

Anyway, the front game was a bit messy, no thanks to the black wedge claiming Michelle and Alex’s $1M wedges and giving La Donna a hard time. 😔 As stated, once Michelle flubbed the second round, Alex pretty much took over (sans two of the Triple Toss-Ups). Good thing he didn’t need help on the last word of the Bonus Round to win a new car.

Maybe one day, we’ll get a $1M win on an XL week. And I sure thought the last Triple Toss-Up was WISH LIST.

Alex slowly picked himself up to win the main game despite him making a repeated H call in R1 and a dud on the XL wedge in R2 (The latter didn't matter because the Bankrupt would have made him losing the XL).

I thought the last word in R3 would be SWIM and when the buzzer sounded on the M, I was thinking what else could it be. I was surprised that the full MDW was hit and claimed three times and despite two of them were lost on Bankrupt, we could still see someone holding the MDW to the BR

BR puzzle was easy for me but I was not sure about Alex based on his looks and the picks he had made. Fortunately, he got it and won (Two spaces too far from the grand prize, ouch!). In conclusion, that was a funny little game.

I also noticed about the cuts from the interview segment and it looks like every week regardless of the sweepstakes, there will be at least one episode that the show will rush from the interviews to the BR. Also, whenever I notice that the screen fades to black after Pat throws to commercial or I hear Vanna saying "Closed captioning is sponsored by..." when a contestant is shown clapping after R3, I know that tonight's episode is 'rushing for time'

Hope that tomorrow's episode will turn out good.

Maybe it's just me, but I think the dark generic set fits more with the XL weeks. It makes it more of a big deal that way.

R1: I can confirm that they've scrapped the bottom of the barrel with this puzzle. Rob and Matt, do better (FYI, Rob writes all of the puzzles while Matt picks them out for the shows...I've learned this on the most recent taping I attended.).

R3: One of the rare cases where declining the Express was a better move.

R4: Figured the streak of normal R4 gameplay would end right there, considering that there's less game time in these weeks.

The game overall wasn't very good thanks to a lot of bad stuff that got cut out, leading to an understandable bumpy final product in the end. La Donna really deserved a better fate after all that.

BR: Figured this would be won with what was up there.

Today's rerun of this episode contains footage unused from the original airing. Since there is no giveaway, R3's outro has Pat mention that Alex locked in the MDW, which was edited out of the original airing, and a "Vanna on location" closed captioning bumper is used instead of the stock voiceover that's been in use for at least two decades now. The intro of the rerun also removed Pat mentioning the giveaway just before throwing to TU1, though the clip of Vanna in front of the board with the giveaway graphic was still intact.
