From Hollywood, It's America's game! Wheeeeeel Of Fortune!
Today's contestants (all female):
La Shawn Robinson: Recently moved to Laurel, MD and is a programmer analyst for a major software company, also an Army reserve officer (originally from Little Rock, AR)
Ina Nozak (returning with a 1-day total of $15,595)
Pam Peterson: Mother of three and a Cornhusker football fan ("Go, Big Red!"); from Blair, NE
The top-dollar value on the Wheel is $1,000. We are playing for cash, and here's our first puzzle:
Ina solves ALEXANDER THE GREAT GATSBY.
We carry ourselves into the next round, and it's still anybody's game with the $3,500 and one-third $10,000 spaces now on the Wheel.
We promise that our next puzzle will be in English. Does La Shawn promise to land on at least one of the $5,000 space or a NECKLACE?
DING DING! DING DING!
Thanks in part to some odd puzzles, Pat will give the Wheel a Final Spin. Consonants are worth... $300 a piece.
Pam: C (DUD!)
La Shawn: M (DUD!)
Ina: D ($300)
Pam: H (x2) ($900)
Pam solves HAPPY HOLIDAYS for a little bit of cheer.
BONUS ROUND:
RSTLNE gives her:
She instantly solves BUTT OUT. "What a nice thought for the holidays."

Let's make that total even greater! Ina could spin a General George Custer genuine photograph of American history from the Kenneth Rendell Gallery (labeled DOCUMENT) worth $6,750!
We're thinking about the prize because even though there's a $2,500 space on the Wheel, we have one of those puzzles next...

MEGAWORD |
La Shawn reads what's on the board...but her pronunciation of "pristi-nelly" won't work.
Ina reads it as it's supposed to sound ("pris-teenly") for the house minimum...just in case she can't score an extra $500 for using it in a sentence.
"She carried herself pristinely." That will work for the extra cash.

It was a Megaword, and you can't fault someone for missing those. Also, it was clearly Ina's day. All we have left for La Shawn is some nice parting gifts.
BONUS ROUND:
Ina has $21,945 and one more day before a long break, so she might as well solve this puzzle to win a car and trip to Arizona or Mexico, or she might as well take the $25,000.
She might as well pick an envelope. Ina picks the second E, and she needs to solve this last puzzle:

She instantly solves BUTT OUT. "What a nice thought for the holidays."
Here's a real nice thought! Ina's just won the $25,000! She now has $46,945 and will play one more time! Never give up!
Vanna just loves this time of the year. Pat brings up that we have a Home For The Holidays week every year. Family members play together, and they fly in from all over the country!
The most exciting thing for Vanna is the Family Week trophy! She loves looking at it! Unfortunately, we don't have a trophy this time...because Nancy Jones forgot to order one. We get a shot of her behind the scenes, and Pat asks if it's true. She nods. We'll think of something extra to give them, maybe a homemade Pat and Vanna trophy.
