when i first heard that WOF (and Jeopardy) was on their way to Pluto, i'd never think they'd actually include these older eras (including Shopping and the second decade of the syndicated show)
especially since the channel itself is still in the more modern portion of the 40-year run

Just a heads up that, although there is a first/second time for everything, Sony's streaming "collections" (be it now on Pluto, or before on Hulu, Netflix, and Crackle) have with RARE exception always been in multiples of 5 (40, 45, 50, 75, 100, 200, 335 eps of Hollywood Squares, whatever. Heck, they even paired the 3 ep Jeopardy IBM challenge with "32 season premieres" just to keep the roundish 35 back in the day)
I mention this only because so far 37 episodes have been uploaded.
Also really worth noting: GSN never reran seasons 3 and 4. Not even once. (Heck, even S5/S10 haven't been seen at all since 2007, and except for that one-off, haven't been regularly aired since 1996-97 (S5 on GSN) / 1998 (S10 on GSN), which is now 25+ years ago.
This is worth celebrating and appreciating.

Seasons 1 and 2 have shows there now. Including one from the very first week (S-3).

My goodness, how the tables have turned. Last year, Pluto themselves said Wheel would never go more than 5 years past and wouldn't comment on the reason. Now, Wheel is getting the vintage spotlight while all of Jeopardy!'s pre-2000 offerings are gone.

They’ve also added 10 and 15 episodes from Seasons 3 and 4 respectively, as well as one from S12 (featuring Brian the Rapper!).

Has anyone else ever seen an episode where they go to commercial instead of shopping immediately, in rounds 1 or 2? I never have, and so far, two out of three episodes I've watched today (from seasons 4 and 5) have done that.

Nor have I ever seen an episode where they go to commercial for less than $10,000 to shop with, either.

This may be a fluke or accident, but Pat's first daytime show is in the Season 10 folder as of this writing (3:10am 8/10/23). Quality is definitely significantly rougher - the original broadcast master is definitely gone, tracking with the "many daytime shows prior to 1985 are gone" discussion. What's presented is a fairly nice transfer of a VHS copy. (If any of y'all had traded for this, though, you wouldn't complain). I'm keeping a copy right now just in case.

And to think of it, it's incredible that a daytime Wheel surfaced before a nighttime/primetime episode of The Price Is Right did. If you watch these 1980s episodes if you aren't familiar with this era, you'll see how contestants are more inclined to spin more before solving even if they know it, mostly regarding hitting a certain target to buy a certain prize. Maybe next spring when we get the next batch, we'll get more episodes from the 1990s (hopefully some from seasons 8, 9, and 11) to have a more balanced mix of the show's history. Perhaps they could rebrand it as "Wheel of Fortune starring Pat and Vanna" when Ryan Seacrest becomes host. Enjoy these classics, some never being seen for nearly 40 years, as another certain channel proclaims in its promos!

Has anyone else ever seen an episode where they go to commercial instead of shopping immediately, in rounds 1 or 2? Nope. I've watched hundreds of shopping episodes, and not one of them did this in the first two rounds. It just doesn't make sense for the syndicated version (though it might be understandable to do it in daytime with the extra break).

I never wrote off the possibility of them showing daytime or Woolery episodes. As I was watching Pat's debut on Pluto for the first time, I could tell by the quality this was not a master copy. So I'm now starting to feel really good that they will show some Woolery episodes down the line, maybe even some 1975 episodes such as the premiere or some hour-long shows. I know the possibility is small, but it's still existent all the same.
I also sense a possibility that Pluto may have deliberately put Pat's debut under Season 10 as an Easter Egg. If that's the case, I recommend checking every season that's up for updates.

^You and me both brother. When the 1964 Jeopardy! pilot was shown officially last year, it gave me greater hope for 1975 Wheel in the not-too-distant future.

I know I shouldn't do this, because I don't wanna turn into one of THOSE PEOPLE, but golly, I'd love to see season 8 & 9 show up in the On-Demand section.

And don't forget that the one non-Hawaii episode from S16 also contains Pat's prediction of that episode appearing on GSN! Speaking of which, some of the Season 1/2 episodes still feature the late '90s Columbia Tri-Star Television logo plastered after the King World logo. Some episodes from the early portion of Season 4 come from summer reruns with a 1987 copyright and the Coca-Cola byline. Also notable among the uploads is two episodes from the first season with Charlie announcing along with another from Season 3 that's previously been circulating online. When you include the 100 episodes from the first round that have disappeared, there's a full two+ seasons of Wheel that's been digitized so far.
