Airdate: February 16, 1995
From Walt Disney World, It's America's game! Wheeeeeel Of Fortune!
Today's contestants:
Sandi Minkler (returning with a 1-day total of $21,095)
Cele Eifert: In the Air Force as a Lieutenant Colonel, but specifically an intelligence officer, and also an academic instructor at air command and staff college; from Montgomery, AL
Keith Snyder: Professional driver for a small limo company in Chicago, from Maywood, IL
The top-dollar value on the Wheel is $1,000. We are playing for cash, and here's our first puzzle:
Perfection! Sandi solves TINA LANA TED & KATHLEEN. Since she's still somewhat chicken, we can throw her a risk-free $500 bonus if she answers the clue.
Still scared about a bad spin, Sandi solves PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE.
Does Keith pledge to take the lead? He may also need to pledge to hit the $3,500 space. He's not too chicken for the one-third $10,000 space, is he?
Sandi solves SKATING ON THIN ICE CREAM CONE.
She's a returning champ. She's the only one with money. Can she at least commit to another $5,000 spin before solving? If she does, we might throw in a RING for free.
Sandi solves IT'S THE KISS OF DEATH. To be fair to her, that was a more "defensive" solve.
DING DING! DING DING!
Cele: H ($900)
Keith: D (DUD!)
Sandi: S ($1,900)
Cele: Y ($1,800)
Keith spoils the sweep and solves TOUCHY SUBJECT.
BONUS ROUND:
RSTLNE gives her:
CDMO will do a little better than her last puzzle.

There's a middle-of-the-road $2,500 space waiting as the middle contestant can finally take the Wheel.

This show may very well become a touchy subject for Cele, as she's leaving with only the nice parting gifts.
BONUS ROUND:
Sandi still had a very good game today and is up to $31,495 in cash and prizes. Here comes another chance to win an around-the-world trip, a boat, a diamond watch, or the $25,000.
She won't die as long as she doesn't kiss the envelopes. Sandi will just grab the H and try another bonus puzzle.

She instantly solves OUT OF TOWN. "You'd better get it."
She'd better receive that diamond watch, a Daniel Mink 18-karat gold and 88-diamond limited edition watch created exclusively for Wheel of Fortune and worth $17,500!
This will bump up Sandi's score to $48,995, and she's playing one more game!
In the post-game chat, Pat wonders what the show is lacking. You know what? There's no name for that "little flashing triangular thing" in front of the players where, when they land on SURPRISE, they lay the wedge down on that. Pat's reduced to saying put it on that "flashing blue thing". We need to find an official name for that, something that sounds good, something official sounding. Vanna suggest "the ledge with the flipper on it". Much more technical.
