So I was going to do more retro stuff this evening...but I think I might need time to absorb what I just saw with the Final Spin. I really missed those moments with Pat, but after doing it this time, I don't know if they'll be doing it more often.

Good thing for the A and D in the Bonus Round. Again, I had everything but the first word before the picks, but I got it after.

I kinda got the vibe that they left it in because it was three bad spins in a row, was pretty funny, and they had enough spare time to.

I wouldn't mind if they started leaving in bad final spins occasionally when time permits, if only to make final spins that are close calls less predictable (and so newer viewers don't constantly ask why bankrupts/LATs on the final spin never happen).

Madeline certainly ended up making it very interesting down the stretch thanks to the TTU sweep and winning round 5. It would've been one of the bigger comebacks in recent memory.

I was shocked when they showed the first Final Spin landing on Lose a Turn, and then when it happened the second time I knew something was up. Pat coming up to him after he hit the Bankrupt on the 3rd attempt was hilarious. Definitely one of the highlight moments of the season so far. It might not have been a good night for Dane winnings wise, but at least he will be remembered for this moment.

Finally a bonus round solve too! The As, C, and H being up made it quite easy.

Contestants’ row overbids have become increasingly rare to make it to air in recent years given the shortening run time.

I’m surprised Wheel reversed a decades-old policies to make a moment like this make it to air. I’m not 100% sure how I feel about it in spite of the fact that we had plenty of air time to do it. But if this is a one-time thing and nothing else then somebody must’ve fallen asleep at the Wheel (no pun intended) and insanely lazy on their part.

On a more positive note, this is the first ever BR win with AVID in it! BR play has been quite good this week all things considered, especially given the fact that college weeks usually don’t have particularly great play all the way around.

Obviously the highlight from the 6 shows I saw in person was the triple bad final spin (the entire studio erupted with laughter when that happened). I'm even more shocked that they left it in (I thought they were gonna edit it out)!

That bonus puzzle, though, was not meant to be won (even if I had it off RSTLNE). I felt she had it after she called her letters.

This episode was… interesting. 😏

Sydney made me a little nervous with her multiple spins in Round 2, but it all worked out for her. Her $40K win in the Bonus Round was exciting! And Madeline sure kept me on the edge of my seat late in the game.

As for Dane – his first Final Spin caught me off-guard for the mere fact that it wasn’t edited out. But Pat had me in stitches with his quip after Dane’s third spin. 😂

I no-lettered the Prize Puzzle, but Dane’s incorrect guess on the first Toss-Up was mine.

My rating: 7
