From the San Diego Convention Center, it's America's game! We're wrapping up the Armed Forces Week tour!
But this is no time to let your guard down! Stay alert, and solve a Toss-Up for the first bit of cash.
Go!
Shana's almost silent, but she solves PATRIOTIC CITIZEN.
Our final patriots this week:
Shana Morris: Lieutenant junior grade helicopter pilot in the Coast Guard, from Fresno, CA
Brant Fryer: Captain in the Air Force based at Los Angeles AFB, from Sundown, TX
T.J. Gonzalez: Navy deck seaman on the USS Denver and based in San Diego, from Mesa, AZ
Go!
Shana solves EXOTIC PORT OF CALL.
Better yet, Shana could go with Vanna on a nice trip that the $10,000 prize will certainly cover!
T.J. solves HIGHLY POLISHED BOOTS.
Those boots will never shine like the Jackpot space.
Perfection and JACKPOT! Brant solves I'M POPEYE THE SAILOR MAN for a quick $9,400 pot!
All the spinach in the world couldn't help you in the Mystery Round. It's still about luck, and you might reveal a BANKRUPT, or you might reveal a 2003 Ford Focus worth $14,090.
Brant solves RECEIVING THE MEDAL OF HONOR.
Go!
T.J. rings in with silence.
...and then that happens. After the L is revealed, Shana tries to ring in, but it's a triple stumper! Nobody gets the money.
Not that it matters to Shana, because for solving the second Toss-Up, she starts this round anyway.
DING DING! DING DING!
Not that it matters to Pat, because the bell sounded. He'll give the Wheel a Final Spin, and consonants will be worth $5,000 + $1,000 for $6,000 a piece! Two comebacks in a row?
Shana: T (x3!) ($18,000)
Brant: H (x3!) ($18,000)
T.J.: B (DUD!)
Shana solves THE NORTH & SOUTH POLES for the win! She didn't need that paltry Toss-Up!
BONUS ROUND:
RSTLNE gives her:
PDMI are only good for a vowel.

Pat noticed a modification on Shana's description as it originally said "the shortest helicopter pilot in the US Coast Guard", but now it says "one of", as a new pilot joined in who's two inches shorter. "They beat me!"
Brant actually ran into Michelle Kwan at a grocery store once...but he had just come from the gym, so he was all sweaty and didn't look real good. "If you're out there watching, Michelle, please have your people call my people, and maybe we can all do lunch." It's worth a shot.
What if Brant can do lunch with Vanna? He might need to win the money from this Toss-Up to pay for a good lunch.

Pat's kicking himself that he can't give her an additional $35,000. That's close to what Shana won anyway, as she's still leaving with $33,000 in cash.
In the post-game chat, Pat says that it's been an honor to salute the men and women of the Armed Forces. Next week, we'll do College Week!
