From the San Diego Convention Center, it's America's game! This is College Week!
We already had someone "pull something" during a Toss-Up round a few weeks ago, so let's gently lift up those signaling devices.
Go!
Faith solves CUT-AND-PASTE...and jumps to hug the others after winning the money. She dropped her Toss-Up device, but at least she didn't break it.
A trio that will never be "copy/paste":
Faith Petzholt: Second-year at University of California San Diego studying prehuman development, from Temple City
PJ Simacha (?): Second-year pre-nursing major at San Diego State University, also an SDSU Ambassador who gives tours/orientations, a funding director for a Filipino cultural organization, and a living/learning center community assistant; from Folsom
Jennifer Gaffson (?): First-year law student at Thomas Jefferson School of Law, graduated undergrad one year early with Honors; from Vancouver, WA
Go!
Jennifer solves ONION RINGS.
The only ring she should focus on right now is a ring of dollar values on the Wheel. There's even a $10,000 prize there somewhere!
Jennifer solves ANDES MOUNTAINS thanks to her "fine geographical knowledge".
PJ solves THE LEARNING CHANNEL SURFER for some cash and the AOL trip. Pat reminds him not to pound the rail, because they'll have to charge him if it breaks.
Someone might be pounding the rail if they make the wrong decision in the Mystery Round. We add those two spaces, one hiding a BANKRUPT, and the other hiding a 2003 Ford Focus worth $14,090.
Jennifer solves WRITING FOR THE CAMPUS NEWSPAPER to jump back into the lead!
Go!
She starts this round, and we should be concerned about our set.
DING DING! DING DING!
Just in time! It's much safer to ask Pat to give the Wheel a Final Spin. Consonants are worth $600 + $1,000 for $1,600 a piece. Faith begins.
Faith: N ($1,600)
PJ: R (x2) ($3,200)
Jennifer: T ($1,600)
Faith: S (x2) ($4,800) (She tries to call O.)
PJ: M (DUD!)
Jennifer: D (DUD!)
Faith: O (DUD!)
PJ: L ($4,800)
Jennifer: C ($3,200)
Faith: P (DUD!)
PJ: A ($4,800)
Jennifer: G ($4,800)
Faith: H ($6,400)
PJ: F (x2) ($8,000)
Jennifer: E (x3) ($4,800)
Only vowels left!
Faith solves TV SERIES CLIFFHANGER.

Jennifer has her mom and boyfriend in the audience!
The Bonus Wheel will stop soon enough that we can end our game today. After Jennifer's spin lands on the purple space, she tackles this puzzle:
