From Hollywood, It's America's game! Wheeeeeel Of Fortune!
Today's contestants:
Corey Kaplan: In the bagel/pizza/deli business, and he dabbles in country radio; from Indialantic, FL
K.C. McGrory (female): Recent graduate of University of Pittsburgh with a dual degree in psychology and media communications, wants to become a magazine publishing editor; from Pittsburgh, PA
David Baxter: Has a carpet installation business, from Calhoun, GA
The top-dollar value on the Wheel is $1,000. We are playing for cash, and here's our first puzzle:
K.C. solves SEATTLE WASHINGTON CROSSING THE DELAWARE. Another big puzzle with minimal results.
David solves OSCAR WINNER JESSICA LANGE. A surprise early solve nets him our SURPRISE wedge, and the prize is a tennis holiday at La Costa Resort & Spa with Fox rackets and pro bags worth $3,996.
David's not quite up to Corey's first-round potential. He will most likely need a $3,500 spin or the $10,000 prize in order to beat that.
How about Corey really get revenge for Round 1 with a $5,000 spin here? How about we add a WAVERUNNER "goody" that Charlie was talking about earlier?
K.C. solves SPARKLING MINERAL WATER.
We could've at least saved David the cost of a vowel. Now that the bell sounded, Pat will give the Wheel a Final Spin. Consonants are worth... $350 a piece.
Corey: S (x2) ($700)
Corey solves TEN-MINUTE INTERMISSION.
BONUS ROUND:

We should've had a much bigger prize after what we just had to watch. All we have is a Signature One Series The Hitter, The Hero, and The American Dream seriolithograph signed by Joe DiMaggio (labeled ART) worth $2,495.
It's up to K.C. to make up for that last round and hit our $2,500 space.

Before we get started, Pat's confused that Charlie spoke of "one of the goodies" that could be won. Pat liked the "entry level" writing.

Fate could've been sealed from the very first puzzle, but David's the big winner! He'll now be playing for a Spain/Morocco trip, a Saab, or an Italy balloon trip.
After our brief intermission, David will check out the envelopes and pick the W. Follow a short break with a short puzzle:

RSTLNE gives him...
...actually, it's currently on intermission.
That means BCDO must do all the work...
...and now is when his fate has been sealed.
He tries anyway, guessing PIG, DIG, and HAT. The first answer actually worked, but he does not solve HUG...
...and he might need a hug for missing out on some Ballooning in Italy. David has $6,746 in cash and prizes, and he'll come back to finish the week.
In the post-game chat, Pat gets to complain about something following Vanna's bonus area complaint. Pat has to talk about how the Free Spin token isn't necessarily used for a spin. You can use it to buy a vowel (though you can also solve), so it should be called "Free Turn". "What are we gonna gripe about tomorrow?"
