I really appreciate that they did this given that the winning contestant was such a big fan of theirs, I just wish it had a better episode surrounding it. It's not even the gameplay which was so-so, can't really blame them all for missing TU4 given how the letters shook out.

The puzzle writing has just been yucky and today's might be the worst of the week. I know they love Jimmy Buffett, and he loves his flip-flops, but that doesn't mean they should write whatever. We don't need to put every song from his catalog on the board; we also don't need to make clumsy PPs that pull up no results on Google. We can also do better than just plopping adjectives, especially hard ones, onto old puzzles to make them work in the bonus round, really wish the puzzle quality would improve. And don't even get me started on this blanking a blank format they have seemed to fall in love with.

Go watch the bonus round, it is very surreal and worth the experience. Heck, go even watch the interview segment they put up on Instagram about the contestant's love for Jim. But that's about all you need to see today unfortunately.

I don't know where that trip puzzle came from. Bad luck with the reveals in the second Triple Toss-Up, as rare books certainly exist (but I wouldn't have gotten it either with those reveals).

The Bonus Round was a nice treat with Jim hosting. I needed her picks to solve the puzzle, as I thought the last word would be PARK at first.

The main game wasn't much to write home about, especially with the miss in the TTUs and odd puzzle writing. Having Jim and Pat switch places in the bonus round since she is a huge fan of Jim was great though, definitely one of the most fun moments of the season. I do appreciate them doing some fun different things this season like the Pat and Jim switch tonight, now if they could just do something about the puzzle writing.

Just discovered that S40 has now tied the record for the most triple stumpers at 5, matching that of S24. With a little over six weeks to go and more than 150 individual TU puzzles left, I wouldn’t be the least bit surprised if we surpassed the record.

Shows like these make me wonder why I'm losing interest in the first place...Jim taking stage for the Bonus Round was the only good part about it.

And yes, puzzle writing has really gone down the crapper this season. I'm losing faith on hoping it'll get any better.

This episode was not that great, especially the first round and the Triple Stumper. At least the three contestants made it exciting and Sarah made a nice comeback. It was fun seeing Jim and Pat switch places in the Bonus Round, but QU- strikes again…

I wouldn’t have guessed RARE with the last letter missing, and I surprisingly blanked on one of my favorite foods, LASAGNA. but I nailed the Prize Puzzle with just the N’s.
