I've been thinking, I wonder if maybe the XL could be brought back permanently, but with a different name, and also with a slightly different set of rules. Like maybe just like the Wild Card and the Million Dollar Wedge, it can only be picked up once, and if it's lost to a bankrupt, it's gone for the night and does not get put back on the wheel. And maybe it could have a lesser upgrade, say $20,000 or maybe $25,000 (the former BR minimum).

I could see them bringing it back for Big Money weeks, but they couldn't call it XL. Maybe make it a new incarnation of the Big Money Wedge, and instead of adding $40K to BR wins, it doubles the prize? But it would need to have the tradeoff of making it harder to survive the maingame, and maybe without R1 being a guaranteed four-row puzzle.
