So much for me thinking they were easing up on BR difficulty this week. Not only is that puzzle NOT Fun & Games and very easily could’ve been the Thing puzzle, but that is a devious puzzle to throw up on a week like this, let alone a regular week.

Today is a real good example of that the winners aren’t always the best players. I remember when Kellen’s episode first aired around Thanksgiving that WOF circa 2023 is so much more about solving the puzzles than spinning the wheel and winning money given that there’s so much free cash up for grabs in the TUs and PP.

However, this is one of those cases where going against that may have helped Kellen out in his second appearance. Impressive solve in R1 nonetheless but pushing the envelope a little more may have prevented this from being another rousing game of “Round 3 of Fortune”.

Epic revenge by Reka with the Express ride! She finally scores, and she passes the competition after they play two perfect rounds! Even the third perfect round wasn't enough for Kellen.

I thought the third Triple Toss-Up would just be POTATO WEDGES, and I was close. I just needed one more word.

I got the bonus puzzle with RSTLNE. Thought she'd get it after saying WHIMSICAL, but the J word was just too much.

Everyone did a great job this time around, and I like how Kellen took some gambles with the wheel during his return. But Dr. Reka really turned things around on her second game! That Express wedge works wonders. 😁

I wasn’t expecting a Bonus Round win tonight given the puzzle’s difficulty. I’m surprised Reka managed to solve WHIMSICAL.

Oh, and the second Triple Toss-Up was too predictable.

While I wanted either Jessie or Kellen to win this time around (both were phenomenal puzzle solvers), this was certainly a redemption story for Dr. Reka.

I'm also glad Kellen decided to be more aggressive this time (helped by the fact that the wheel has been noticeably loose this week...he was only able to get it 80% of the way around on his first show). I do wish he spun once more in R4, though.

BR: I had a feeling the writers would pull a nasty one on the doctor. Was impressed that she got WHIMSICAL, though.

Still, everyone did great.

The biggest thing I remember about this episode is feeling really bad for Reka and worrying that she was just going to repeat history. So it felt really good when she landed on the Express wedge and rides it to the finish. We did feel a little bad for Kellen and Jessie after that, but it was good that at least one contestant got to redeem themselves this week. Kellen did a pretty good solving too, see that his fast play attitude was still kicking this time. R1 was phenomenal and I'm glad that we got at least 1 R5 this week. Everyone did well for themselves and I'm glad they all left with a hearty sum of money. Figured we were due for a loss and that was a pretty tough puzzle, but I'm sure she'll be pretty happy with the cruise and 14K in cash.

The biggest thing about this episode, and it was mentioned previous, was that there was a thrown out puzzle. R5 was originally LONGHORN CATTLE (as a Living Things) and it ran a bit longer than the eventual puzzle. Just before Kellen solves the puzzle, one of the contestant supporters accidentally started saying the puzzle. They stopped themselves, but Pat and some others heard that guess and the puzzle got thrown.

We had heard that there was still someone that had yet to air and we were curious as to what made them Fan Favorites. But who could they be? We would find out soon.

Never realized how much this applied to more than a simple want.
