TU2 felt like a CWOF reject.

Like Wednesday, this show had a lot of potential for big rounds but bad luck struck at the worst possible moments, particularly in R1.

We were on track to have our first sub-10k maingame win in the TTU era before a really clutch and tense 6k final spin saved our bacon. One of the few times the final spin was really anybody’s game.

Really clever BR that was reliant on not only choosing the right vowel, but a supplementary consonant for either the first or second word. I don’t think either one of those worked out tonight but maybe choosing a B gives you something to latch on?

Technically, the game on 3/29/2001 (which I need to stop thinking about) was also anybody's game with its scores if we assume at least one consonant call.

Unlike that show, however, at least the player who solved today was able to call a few consonants.

For this week, they probably could've categorized the $1,000 Toss-Up as Person, though Character also works.

It took way too long, but I finally got another bonus puzzle with RSTLNE. This one wasn't as hard, and it had potential to be solved with just the O.

STAR WARS GALACTIC CELEBRATION

The story so far…

The second half of the celebration yesterday started slow, but Victoria picked things up nicely by winning herself a nice Bahamas Cruise for her husband. She was also the latest player to sweep the Triple Toss-Ups.

The Dark Side got the best of her in the Bonus Round, however, when she picked the wrong time to go with CDMA and lost $45,000 for not having a FINICKY PUPPY at home.

What will Day 5 bring us?

STAR WARS GALACTIC CELEBRATION

The story so far…

It’s been a roller coaster ride since the $100,000 win to start the celebration.

JaDarrell and Dana Joel had quite a match on Friday and the former came out on top by a slim margin thanks to winning the Galaxy’s Edge trip. But the Dark Side got the best of JaDarrell even though he picked the hot vowel of three O’s in the Bonus Round.

Tonight marks the start of season finale week and the end of this celebration. The Dark Side unfortunately won the majority on the Bonus Round front, but let’s keep our fingers crossed for a strong ending.

Whew-whee. To say this episode was a roller coaster doesn’t even begin to cover it. 🤯

Given the wheel’s tirade, I’m glad everyone won something by the end of the Triple Toss-Up, though I was hoping David would go for more money at the end of the first two rounds.

But Erica’s comeback was the highlight of the night! 👏🏾

While I was elated by everyone’s happiness at our champ getting on the board with the first two Triple Toss-Ups, I was not expecting a $6,000 Final Spin. That certainly made up for lost time. It’s a bummer she couldn’t follow it up with a Bonus Round win (the A’s were the hot vowel here).

Predictably, I solved the second Triple Toss-Up before it lit up.

Weekly rating: 6

This whole week (tonight included) was wild, but it was a blast reliving my childhood. Hopefully, the rest of this week goes well.

Edited to add: Can I just say, the audience was probably the most enthusiastic I’ve seen this season!
