Christy immediately picks up the Red Roof Inn gift tag with a T, lights up a trio of E's on FP, but then BANKRUPTS to give up the gift tag. Kate buys the only bad vowel of this puzzle (O). Next, Rusty falls victim to a BANKRUPT, and loses the WC. Christy does some work, but she misses with an L. Kate fills in almost the whole puzzle, but she BLOWS HER TURN by saying that the last consonant is a P; that might very well cost her $7,250. Rusty doesn't do any better with the V. Christy then BANKRUPTS for the second time tonight (via the MDW's right side) to lose $400. Kate's back in control...
