Hello everyone, newb here and a longtime fan of Wheel. Saying hello to everyone.
Aside from Pat retiring from his hosting duties at the end of Season 41, any upcoming changes to Wheel this season or something you’d like to see for Season 41?
For me, I’d certainly like to see the Wheel template overhauled. Seems like they’ve been using the same wedge configuration since September 1996 despite various changes in wedge colors and amounts over the years. We’ve especially seen the current layout since Season 27. Despite an $850 wedge added in Season 39 and 2 $900 wedges, the wheel needs more variety than just the mundane $500, $600, $650 & $700 values. Would like to see $750 return, another $800 wedge, $950 like the celebrity version, and perhaps a standard 4-digit wedge like $1000, $1250, $1500 or $2000 to complement TDV. Perhaps a modernized layout like Round 4 pre-season 14 can return with the 2 Bankrupts directly across each other.
Would also like to see on Pat’s last episode original hosts and hostess Chuck Woolery & Susan Stafford make a guest appearance and congratulating Pat for his years on Wheel
Not sure taping has begun yet for the 41st season, nor do we officially know yet what changes are coming, but throwing my pennies out there on what I’d like to see

I don't know about Chuck and Susan coming back myself. I wouldn't see major changes until Ryan's first season.

Tapings started last week to make up for the cancelled CWOF tapings but a week was also taped yesterday. The only thing we know for sure is that $40,000 is remaining the BR minimum (and gift tags may or may not be retired?). Everything else is the same as last season.

I would like to see the return of road shows which I miss dearly. I personally would love to see another New York City remote because I had a good time seeing the show in the Big Apple for their 25th and 30th anniversaries. If they come back to New York, I hope they would do it at my favorite place Radio City Music Hall.

I’m definitely looking forward to the 41st season of America’s Game in September but I’m going to be sad when we get to the season finale and we say goodbye to Pat for the very last time just like Vanna, Susan, Chuck, Harry, Jim, and Charlie Pat is definitely a Wheel of Fortune legend I definitely wanna see a million dollar winner during Pat’s final season it may or may not occur but we’ll see how the season turns out

Season 41 will most likely not feature any major changes to the show. They may feature an updated title card that may or may not make reference to S41 being Pat's final season, but I don't think we'll know that until Monday when the episode premiers. Season 42, Seacrest's first, could feature changes. Maybe a new set gets introduced, the wheel gets a major overhaul, who knows. Idk if anybody here has seen the music video for the Virtual Insanity song, but for Season 42, they should make it so the set slides around the studio. The puzzle board, the wheel, the lecterns, etc, all slide around the studio! As for the theme music, it's still Changing Keys, but they perform it in the style of Virtual Insanity (kind of like how the AFV theme was performed in the style of "The Impression that I Get" by the Mighty Mighty Bosstones until 2015/2016).
In all seriousness, that has disaster written all over it! At least in the music video, it was just couches. The singer didn't have to worry about a large and heavy puzzle-board potentially toppling on him as he filmed it, lol. I do have an idea for how they could change the wheel to make it more interesting, but I'll create a separate thread for that so as to not veer this one off.
P.S. For anybody unfamiliar with the Virtual Insanity music video, here it is:

I'd also count on major overhauls when Seacrest comes in. Price changed its look and feel when Drew Carey came on.
