This just in! Based on various news sources, Vanna White has contracted COVID and was forced to miss a day of taping for Teacher's Week. Since Teacher's Week is the week Vanna will be absent for, California's Teacher of the Year recipient, Bridgette Donald-Blue will be filling in as the guest hostess.

This was on the History Wiki for two weeks, so I wouldn't say it's "just in". However, I was uncertain if this was actually true.

This was on the History Wiki for two weeks, so I wouldn't say it's "just in". However, I was uncertain if this was actually true. The reason why I said 'just in" because some of the prominent online news sources like LA Times and USA Today just broke the news about her absence about 20 hours ago. |

This was on the History Wiki for two weeks, so I wouldn't say it's "just in". However, I was uncertain if this was actually true. It was confirmed in a taping report posted to this site two weeks ago, and has been discussed quite a bit on our Discord (link above, if you're not a part of it join today for the latest news and information!). |

Interesting that this is just now hitting the presses given that it was first reported mid-way through the taping day. Seriously, we didn't even get Game 3 started before the news broke.
Don't think this is just her holding out for more money, she really did have COVID. It was made mention of a few days before the taping. Ms. Donald-Blue was called the night before the taping and only had about 90 minutes of puzzleboard practice. It will be very obvious. Don't think it was just because Maggie wasn't there either, she was on set recording promos all day as well.
