From Sony Pictures Studios, it's America's Game!
WHEEL OF FORTUNE
WHEEL ACROSS AMERICA (6TH)
EPISODE #7855
Ding!
Michael's in heaven with some ANGEL FOOD CAKE!
Here are today's contestants!
Michael Colen is from Sacramento, CA, the capital. During the day, he's a middle school math teacher, but at night, he's a rap star - First Degree The D.E. He's come to Wheel to keep his "secret".
Angela Green is from San Anselmo, CA, over the Golden Gate Bridge. She loves wine tasting - she's a regular at around 10 different places and has about 200 bottles of wine in her garage.
Kathleen Whitley-Harm is from North Hero, VT, around the Champlain mountains. During the winter, she escapes south in her RV with her husband, Art. She has three grown daughters and six grandchildren.
Ding!
Prize: WYOMING
Michael can enjoy a PICTURE-PERFECT POOL PARTY with $11,500!
After calling the A, Michael regrets it, calling himself "one of those guys".
Kathleen, you'll probably be ORDERING ROOM SERVICE FOR MY SUITE with $12,700 cash and an $8,032 trip to The Lexington in Jackson Hole, WY!
Here's a RANDOM ACT OF KINDNESS - Michael nets $11,600 more in cash plus a vacation to St. Lucia! It's a stay at Coconut Bay worth $11,204!
Ding!
Angela spots a BALD EAGLE in the sky.
Ding!
Michael swoops in like a CALIFORNIA CONDOR.
Ding!
Kathleen tries DIDO BIRD (die-do)... which isn't right.
Ding!
Michael throws up DIDO BIRD (did-oh), but that's also incorrect.
*BUZZ-BUZZ!*
So, to explain the confusing turn of events here: Angela starts a solve but stops once Pat says her name. You are allowed to attempt a solve without buzzing in if both your opponents buzzed in and were wrong, but because she momentarily hesitated, enough time passed for the entire puzzle to be revealed. After the buzzer sounded, she hit her binger and restarted saying DODO BIRD. Since she restarted and her new guess was completely after the buzzer, it's ruled unsolved.
I guess note to any future contestants - just observationally, I think the board is now programmed to reveal a letter every time play resumes, so maybe only shout out an answer if there's one letter remaining? Otherwise, just use your binger.
DING-DING! DING-DING!
Unlike the previous-taped episode, the person who spun first in Round 1 gets control in Round 4. That means Angela gives the Final Spin.
Final Spin: $550 ┌
+$1,000 = $1,550
Angela: S ($1,550)
Kathleen: T (x2 - $3,100)
*NULL CUT*
Michael: E (x1)
Angela: L (x5 - $9,300 | LET'S GET SILLY-NILLY)
Kathleen: Y (x2 - $6,200)
Michael: O (x1)
LET'S NOT DILLY-DALLY I guess; Michael's taking the last $1,000 of this maingame.
Michael - don't dilly-dally when picking from these:
IN THE KITCHEN
PHRASE
THING
Michael goes for the PHRASE.
The Fan Friday word is ARCADE, for an Arcade1Up Wheel of Fortune Casinocade
$100,000 BONUS ROUND
Michael's wife, Carrie, son, Josiah, son, Eddie, daughter, Sariah, and not his baby, are standing by.
Pat says that if his family doesn't get a sitcom, there's no justice in the world. Michael then thanks Pat for the past 41 years.
Michael lands on the E in GAME.
RSTLN E...
HVF O... are interesting, but don't give any help. Michael has nothing, leading Pat to retort that it's what he didn't do - PICK WISELY. Although he misses out on $40,000, he still leaves with $38,304!
End Chat: Pat notes that although bald eagles aren't bald, "bald" originally comes from the British word for "white". So, for instance, had Vanna been born in the U.K., she might have been Vanna Bald.
