Just discovered a new affiliate airing Wheel as of Season 41.
NBC affiliate WHIZ-TV in Zanesville, Ohio has recently acquired Wheel of Fortune. Zanesville is a very small market, currently ranked 203 out of 210. WHIZ is the only commercial television station in the Zanesville market. Zanesville has no native ABC or CBS affiliate; since it's adjacent to the Columbus market, viewers rely on that market's affiliates for those networks' programs. Until this season, Zanesville viewers had to watch Wheel on WBNS out of Columbus. WHIZ-DT2 is a combination FOX and MyNetworkTV affiliate.
WHIZ airs Wheel weeknights at 7:00 PM Eastern, as does most of Ohio. Columbus is the only Ohio-based market that airs Wheel at 7:30 instead of 7:00. Because of Columbus' proximity, most Zanesville viewers have two chances to catch Wheel on most nights: 7:00 on WHIZ and 7:30 on WBNS. WHIZ will also be airing Wheel of Fortune Weekend on Saturdays at 7:00 PM when possible. Because of college football on NBC, WHIZ has been airing WOF Weekend Sundays at 11:30 AM, but their schedule shows it on Saturdays starting November 25 once NBC is done showing evening games.
Goes without saying that WHIZ acquired Jeopardy! as well. As most markets do now with Jeopardy!, WHIZ airs the show twice a day (when will CBS Media Ventures finally allow this with Wheel?!), at 5:30 PM and 7:30 PM. Their website's schedule lists the 5:30 airing as the main run and 7:30 as Daytime Jeopardy!, but I assume these are swapped. If this is somehow true, this would make WHIZ the only Eastern Time Zone affiliate to air the main run of Jeopardy! before 7:00 PM regularly. Zap2It lists both airings as the main run (an anamoly I've also seen in listings for other markets). WHIZ does not appear to carry Jeopardy! Weekend, as they air Ohio Lottery Cash Explosion on Saturdays at 7:30 PM starting November 25; Jeopardy! is not listed in any other weekend time slot whether there's college football or not.
