TV listings confirm that the NFL week airing the week of February 5-9 is titled "NFL Superfan Tournament". Presumably, it will be the same format as last season's WWE Tournament: Friday Finals but only winners eligible to advance, no Prize Puzzle on Friday (if they do the same trip all week again), and Friday's winner wins an extra prize.

Should be a fun week, though maybe a little ironic for those that had to deal with Monday episode preemptions this season because of Monday Night Football. Will the Prize Puzzle be a trip to the Super Bowl?

Contestants from this week are starting to post their photos. All contestants are wearing jerseys of their favorite team. So far, we have at least the Eagles, Bills, and Chiefs (whose broadcast partner will probably pre-empt this entire week if the Chiefs win the last playoff game today). However, they are not paired with NFL players, and none of them have alluded to the week being a tournament.
It's possible Wheel is trying to hide this week being a tournament until the last moment, though, much like they did with WWE when Bellamie blurred out the word "Tournament" in set pictures she posted, plus the fact that the listings name only changed last week.

There’s also the possibility that this mirrors past NFL weeks where whoever has the highest score of the week receives a bonus prize.
One other idea that crossed my mind; albeit a bit less likely, is that in which the civilians are matched with players remotely, similar to what happened during S19’s NFL Players Week due to post 9/11 travel restrictions, but I wouldn’t bet on it.
Also unlike past NFL weeks, there is no tie-in with NFL Players Inc., hence why there will likely be no players paired with civilians as they were typically responsible for coordinating with the show.

I always wondered why season 19’s NFL Week was like that. Wow.

Could have been 9/11 related…remember things got super strict around tapings and security around that time…they didn’t even have an audience for a short time.

First I’ve heard of them foregoing audiences during that time period. The difficulties they had with the Miami remote just a few days after are well documented but I had no clue they went without audiences for a time. Do we know which weeks in S19 didn’t have one?

Multiple comments made throughout Tuesday's episode imply that they've gone back to the old Friday Finals rules where second and third-place contestants can qualify if their scores are high enough.

But what wouldn’t make sense with that is in the intro, they show the winner of each day - why would they only show the winner if another player was eligible?
