Hi y'all! Long post incoming, so I apologize in advance!
My best friend's dad was on an episode of "Teen Week" in the early 80s (I'm talking season 1 - 1983-1984 early), and we are trying to surprise him by finding the episode that has seemingly been lost to time. I've spent a few years on this hunt, but I wanted to throw out some feelers here to see if anyone could point me in the right direction. Here is what we know:
1. It was a Teen Week episode in 1983 or 1984
2. It was a daytime episode.
3. In the episode, he is called "Michael". This is important because another kid in the week was called "Mike" (more on this later!)
4. He is wearing a navy blue sweater in the episode (photo attached for reference!)
We know these last two facts because we actually found a snippet of the intro in a now privated vimeo video from the previously mentioned Mike, who was on a different episode, but in the same week. I should have downloaded the entire video to have more info, but I just got the intro that shows both our michael and the mike who made the video! Again, this is not the episode we are looking for, but it proves that our michael was in fact on the show at some point during this week! I have not been able to track down the account since it was privated. If it helps to add in more names for the week, mike was on an episode that was mike/andrea/sean. Sean wins the episode!
The Wheel of Fortune wiki (link here) claims that the episodes were filmed in December of 1983. They say of the week "The week of December 5, 1983 is College Week. During this week, Johnny Gilbert fills in as announcer." I can confirm that the signage in the background says "Teen Week", but Michael was in college at the time of the taping.
Here is a theoretical fact from our Michael about his experience (though I don't trust his recollection all that much because he once tried to tell us that his two other contestants on his episode were "Vanna" and "Pat" lol):
1. He claims he won a trip to San Diego but he "couldn't use it because he already lived there". For reference, he was attending San Diego State University at the time.

While this is all just a fun little treasure hunt for me, I would love some help because Michael has been looking for this episode for almost 40 years with no luck! I'm hoping that someone, somewhere has a recording of the episode! Thanks so much!!
