From Sony Pictures Studio, it's America's game! Welcome to Armed Forces Week!
Our trio must focus on their first mission, and that is solving a simple Toss-Up puzzle.
Go!
Paul solves LETTERS FROM HOME.
Soon to write home about their time here!
Paul Cernanec: Officer Candidate currently attending San Diego State University through a commissioning program; he gets 3 years to graduate and started a year ago, and he'll be commissioned as a Naval Officer when he graduates; from Cleveland, OH
Mindy Freeman: Airman First Class who works in public affairs for the Air Force, specifically keeping the troops overseas informed about what's going on stateside; she's currently stationed at March Reserve Base, and she spent a year in Iceland, also getting to do the polar bear plunge; from Sacramento, CA
Daniel Norton: Staff Sergeant currently stationed at Camp Pendleton, an information insurance specialist with First Marine Expeditionary Force 9th Comm Batallion; we're also taping this episode on his anniversary, and he'll be in Iraq by the time the show airs; from Mount Arlington, NJ
Go!
Paul solves BROWNIE PAN.
(There's an ALABAMA prize wedge on the Wheel, but the prize itself is not announced.)
Paul says PUTTING YOUR DUCKS IN A ROW. While it fits, it's actually wrong.
Daniel solves GETTING YOUR DUCKS IN A ROW.
We've gotten things organized as best we can for someone to pull off a Jackpot win.
Daniel solves VOLCANOES NATIONAL PARK IN HAWAII. That almost gives away the trip, but we're not throwing him in a volcano. We're just sending him on a trip to Hawaii with stay at Royal Kona Resort Kailua Bay worth $5,544.
He still wouldn't know pain even if it was the volcano. What about the emotional pain if he lands on a Mystery Wedge? He's better off just thinking about the $10,000 cash prize.
Daniel solves O BEAUTIFUL FOR SPACIOUS SKIES.
Go!
Mindy solves CATERING MANAGER. She does a little dance to celebrate, and Pat doesn't want to interrupt.
Suddenly, Toss-Ups are so good to her. We hope the $5,000 space will be even better than that!
DING DING! DING DING!
We also hate to interrupt that, but we have to. We need Pat to give the Wheel a Final Spin, and consonants will be worth $450 + $1,000 for $1,450 a piece.
Mindy: M (DUD!)
Daniel solves THE BEST AND THE BRIGHTEST.
BONUS ROUND:
RSTLNE gives him:

Fine, Daniel wasn't the best at Toss-Ups, but he took everything else, and his only lost turn was a Mystery flip. He's in good shape to win one of these:
Chevrolet HHR
Jeep Commander
Dollar bills in a row ($25,000-$50,000)
...or brighten your day with the best! ($100,000!)
He has his wife in the audience!
We command him to spin the Bonus Wheel and take the envelope when his spin stops on the 10's digit. We command Vanna to put up a puzzle!

...and he just did that on the inside after seeing $50,000. Daniel heads back with $18,144 in cash and trip.
In the post-game chat, Pat and Vanna talk about the show's long history with the Armed Forces. We see some clips of the USS Dwight D. Eisenhower (CVN-69), where they taped a series of shows back in 1995.
