If you need a Clarendon-style font that is close enough for things like web site design, and is 100% free and legit, tonight I happened upon "Besley" font.
"Besley is a antique slab serif inspired by Robert Besley's Clarendon."
It is a Google font, so it is free under Open Font License.
We might even be able to use it here if we're able to add the embed codes to our HTML header. I plan to use it to beautify my database site beyond the pitiful markdown files that are there now.
